Gregory Takes Win at Landrake

Round three of the British Masters championship took place at the weekend, held at the ever popular Landrake circuit near Plymouth, with Lewis Gregory showing great form after recent injury woes. Starting out in striking style, Lewis took the lead in race one half way round the first lap and continued to lead for the rest of the race to take the win. A first turn incident left Lewis with work to do in race two, but another strong ride throughout the 25-minute race saw Lewis capture third place in the race and seal the overall victory.

Laverty Closing in on BSB Podium

Michael Laverty continued his impressive superbike form on the Relentless Suzuki GSX–R1000 at Brands Hatch earlier today, with a fourth placed finish in race two. In race one, after a superb start, Laverty forced his way through to third before unfortunately crashing out at Druids when hot on the heels of Tom Sykes in second place. Ian Lowry had a tough weekend but battled bravely in today’s supersport race with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately Lowry just lost out on a points scoring finish after being forced to start his race from pit lane, due to a front brake problem on the warm-up lap.

Podium Glory For Lowry as Laverty ‘Ticks the Boxes’

Ian Lowry jumped onto his first supersport podium of the season at Oulton Park yesterday, taking a fine third place, with team-mate Michael Laverty continuing to score solidly in the superbike class [7th and 4th]. Laverty now sits sixth in the British Superbike championship table, also holding the position of leading Suzuki. Lowry currently holds fifth place in the supersport class after his opening podium of 2008.

Edmondson Claims Welsh Win

Relentless Suzuki Enduro Team rider Paul ‘Fast Eddy’ Edmondson claimed victory over the weekend in the opening round of the WOR Events organised XC Championship. Running at Llandrillo, North Wales, the event took in some spectacular scenery as the tough course wound its way through forests and along trail sections throughout the three hour race.

Donald Seals Debut Podium As Laverty Shines

Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing made a positive start to their 2008 British championship campaign yesterday at Thruxton, with a debut British Superstock podium for Aussie Cameron Donald in third place; a fifth placed British Superbike debut for the Relentless Suzuki GSX–R1000 in the hands of Michael Laverty, and last but not least, a hard-fought fifth place for Ian Lowry in the Supersport class. Normally used to running only two riders in one class within the series, it was a busy day for the Relentless Suzuki team competing in four races at Thruxton. All eyes were on the team’s BSB debut and Michael Laverty did them proud after having to deal with tyre problems in race one.

Michael Laverty had to brave sub-zero temperatures at times while racing over the Easter holidays, but the Relentless by TAS Suzuki rider recorded a hat-trick of wins on Easter Saturday, also lifting the prestigious Enkalon Trophy for his efforts.

Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry capped a perfect season when they dominated the Sunflower Trophy races at Bishopscourt, County Down earlier today. Regarded as the premier short circuit event in Northern Ireland, both riders enjoyed a brace of wins on their Relentless Suzukis, with Laverty receiving the Sunflower Trophy from guest of honour Troy Corser for his Blue Riband Superbike success, boosted by a cheque for £3000.

Relentless Suzuki is pleased to announce that both Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry have put pen-to-paper for the 2008 campaigns in both the British Superbike and Supersport classes respectively. Laverty, who recently secured the British Supersport title in his first year with the team, will moved back into the British Superbike class on a GSX–R1000 Relentless Suzuki. Lowry, who currently lies in second place in the British Supersport Championship, will campaign the all-new K8 GSX–R600 Suzuki as the team’s sole performer in the middleweight class.

Michael Laverty finally confirmed himself as the number one rider in the British Supersport Championship, taking the title for Relentless Suzuki with a penultimate round victory at Donington Park earlier today. Ian Lowry played the perfect wing man’s role for his senior team-mate, and the 20-year-old Moira rider also hoisted himself back into second place in the championship with his efforts at the Derbyshire venue.

Relentless Suzuki is delighted to announce the signing of Australian sensation Cameron Donald for 2008. Cameron got his first taste of the GSX–R Suzuki line-up in a closed test session at Kirkistown just a few days ago, completing 100 laps of the County Down circuit. In the afternoon session on the GSX–R1000 Relentless Suzuki Superbike the Australian consistently dipped under the outright lap record. His programme for 2008 will focus on the three international road races; he will also take in one of the three British championship classes. An announcement on this will be made in the coming months.

Laverty Simply Sublime At Cadwell

Michael Laverty firmly cemented his place at the top of the British Supersport standings earlier today after a faultless performance on his GSX–R600 Relentless Suzuki, taking his tally to five wins for the season. Laverty also recorded the fastest lap of the race and now sits on 190 points, 37 ahead of nearest challenger Dennis Hobbs [153 points]. Team-mate Ian Lowry was unfortunately forced to retire from third place after only six laps, when a missed gear change caused his engine to over-rev. He now drops to third place in the series behind Hobbs on 149 points.

Lowry Podium At Croft For Relentless Suzuki

It was a day of mixed emotions at Croft in North Yorkshire for the Relentless Suzuki team, when series leader Michael Laverty suffered a minor electrical problem that put him out of actions after 10 laps while lying in second place. Team-mate Ian Lowry put in a strong performance leading for 17 of the 18 laps, only to be mugged within the final few corners by eventual winner Billy McConnell and Dennis Hobbs. Third place on the podium gave Lowry a further 16 points, closing the gap on Laverty in the championship, also by 16 points with three rounds remaining.

Double Delight For Relentless Suzuki In Mallory

It was lucky number ‘13’ for the Relentless Suzuki British Supersport team, when Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry collected champagne bottles number 12 and 13 for the season to date at Mallory Park. Laverty stalked both Lowry and early race leader Dennis Hobbs for just over two-thirds distance, before pulling the pin to take the hard-fought victory. Lowry, who himself lead the race for three laps, rode superbly holding off Dennis Hobbs to take second place and 20 very valuable championship points.

Laverty Increases Championship Lead at Oulton

Michael Laverty increased his series lead at round 8 of the British Supersport Championship at Oulton Park, when survival was the order of the day in horrendous conditions at the Cheshire venue. Finishing in fourth place, Michael now leads Relentless Suzuki team-mate Ian Lowry by 27 points, and Honda rival Dennis Hobbs in third, by 33 points. Having qualified on the front row in fourth position in dry conditions on Saturday, Michael was happy with his race pace, but like everyone else in the paddock, the Toomebridge rider was well aware of the inclement conditions that he would face on Sunday.
