Justice for Anstey on the Mountain
06 June 2008
Bruce Anstey put the disappointed of Monday’s supersport race firmly behind him, taking an emphatic 34 second victory in the Relentless Supersport TT Race 2 earlier today. Anstey and Ian Hutchinson couldn’t be separated at the end of the opening lap, but the 39-year-old Kiwi dropped the hammer on lap two, opening up an eight second lead, also recording a new lap record of 125.359mph. From there in, Bruce’s GSX–R600 Relentless Suzuki never missed a beat and the quietly spoken Kiwi took the chequered flag and his seventh Isle of Man TT victory. The win also completed the set for TAS Racing, having now won every available solo four stroke class in TT racing history.

Martin Bags Sixth in Junior TT
06 June 2008
Following on from Monday's disappointment when he retired after only five miles in the opening Supersport TT, Hydrex Bike Animal Honda's Guy Martin bounced back with a battling sixth place finish in today's four lap Relentless Junior Supersport TT. The 26 year old from Kirmington in Lincolnshire, running as number one on the road once again, was hoping for better luck and at Glen Helen on lap one, he held fourth place just three seconds down on the lead. At the end of the opening lap, Martin still held fourth just two seconds off third place with a lap of 122.659mph.

Steve Plater Wins Junior TT for AIM Yamaha
05 June 2008
Steve Plater rode a scintillating race on Monday to take his maiden victory in the Relentless Supersport Junior TT run over four laps of the 37.73-mile Isle of Man mountain course. But Ian Hutchinson suffered more bad luck as he retired at Sulby Bridge with a blown engine on lap two. Plater opened his account with a strong 10th place in Saturday’s Dainese Superbike race, the same position as in last year’s event, although this time his lap speeds had increased considerably. In glorious sunshine and perfect conditions on Monday, the Junior TT got underway at 1.15pm. Plater made good progress and was clocked through Glen Helen in seventh place to complete the first lap in the same position.

Luckless Anstey Robbed of Victory
05 June 2008
Bruce Anstey’s start to finish victory in today’s Relentless Supersport TT race one, where he also set a new lap record, has unfortunately been overturned by the organisers after a technical infringement. An after-market part, not supplied by Suzuki, was discovered to be outside the tolerance levels set by the TT organisers for the supersport class.
