The world’s most famous motorcycle endurance race, the Bol d’Or 24hr, takes place in France on 15 September and BMW Motorrad will have two teams lining up on the grid for the penultimate round in this year’s QMMF Endurance World Championship. Whilst competing with the second BMW team, British rider Richard Cooper, 24, raced to an impressive second in class and ninth overall at the previous round at Oschersleben. Following his outstanding performance in Germany, Cooper has been asked to step up to the first team by BMW Motorrad Motorsport Team Manager Berti Hauser.
