Pole followed by Two Podiums for Mason at Knockhill

Gary Mason qualified first out of the Cup riders on the Q8Oils lubricated Quay Garage Racing Honda superbike at Scotland’s premier circuit and proceeded to secure a place on the podium in both races. Always strong in qualifying, Mason was not only the fastest Cup rider but started the race ahead of several racers from the main Superbike teams, including Rizla Suzuki’s Atsushi Watanabe and Hydrex Honda’s Guy Martin. Rain just before the first race left a dry line on the track on the other side of the grid from Gary, who was on slicks. With such a narrow dry line it took time to pass people, but once clear of the slower riders Mason showed his pace and took the win, setting the fastest lap into the bargain. Martin Jessopp of Riders Racing followed him in second, with Chris Burns on the MV Agusta in third place.

Q8Oils Helps Team Digest Race Across Desert To Dakar

Team Digest riders Paul Knight & Dave Newman successfully completed the Heroes’ Legend race to Dakar on their Q8Oils supported Yamaha XT500, the same type used in the early Dakar rallies. Having covered more than 6,500 kilometres, their motorcycle & 4-wheel drive team raced from Paris to Dakar through France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal, completing the gruelling competition in overall 21st place and 13th in their class - an impressive result for two riders with no previous experience of rallies or desert riding on a bike that is nearly 30 years old.

Airwaves Ducati Choose Q8Oils For Third Time Lucky

Airwaves Ducati have chosen Q8Oils as their official lubricant supplier for the third year in a row. The past two seasons have been incredibly successful, with the team winning the Manufacturers Championship for Ducati last year and teammates Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla finishing in 2nd and 3rd positions in the Riders’ Championship. This followed Lavilla’s stellar performance in 2005, when he was crowned Champion.

Q8Oils congratulate Leon Haslam on winning the most prestigious accolade of his career to date, when he was voted Man of the Year by MCN readers. This is the second successive year that Leon has used Q8Oils. Leon collected his award at the National Motorcycle Museum and he joins an impressive list of previous winners including John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Giagomo Agostini and 2005 winner Valentino Rossi. BSB.Three Podiums For Q8oils & Airwaves Ducati At Oulton Park

Ducati has maintained its lead in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship following another consistent weekend’s work by Leon Haslam and the Airwaves Ducati team at Oulton Park. Haslam is now just 5 points off of the championship lead, but it is no longer teammate Gregorio Lavilla that he is chasing after the Spaniard finished 3rd in the first race but failed to finish race 2. Honda’s Kiyonari now heads the championship, having won both races, but with just 14 points separating him from Lavilla in third, it is too close to call at this point.

Airwaves Ducati And Q8Oils Maintain Their Lead After A Weekend At Snetterton

Airwaves Ducati retained their lead in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, in spite of a weekend of mixed fortunes at Snetterton. Leon Haslam started in commanding form, shattering the Norfolk circuit records as he claimed his third pole start of the season, at an average speed of 108.95mph. However, a win proved elusive, with both races plagued by accidents, safety cars and red and yellow flags.

Airwaves Ducati have a comfortable lead in the Bennett's British Superbike Championship following a rain-soaked Round Two at Donington Park. Gregorio Lavilla showed his class in difficult cold and wet conditions, setting a new lap record of 1:31.243 in race one. The team finished the day with a first and third place in Race One and a second and third in Race Two.
