The Polaris World Team started the Dutch Grand Prix at the legendary Assen circuit today. As one of the most emblematic circuits of the MotoGP annual calendar. After the bad weather that that hindered and all of the riders suffered in the last MotoGP at Donington, the team have been able to enjoy a day without rain or bad weather. Bradley Smith in this first day of official practice at Assen has achieved a remarkable second best time stopping the clock at 1:39;45.873 just 0,340 tenths of the fastest time. For Smith, after the bad taste that was left after the results obtained in the last Grand Prix in Donington, again found himself very comfortable at the controls of his Aprilia.
Sixteen year-old Bradley Smith has been rewarded for a brilliant season in the 125cc World Championship by joining a top team in 2008. Yesterday (Tuesday) in Spain the Oxford–based rider signed a contract to compete in next year’s 17-round 125cc World Championship with the Polaris World team that have already won four grands prix with Italian Mattia Pasini this season.
