Haslam, Crutchlow & Honda – Reunited In 2008 BSB ‘Dream-Team’

Honda Racing has announced that Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow are to join the new-look HM Plant Honda team to compete in the 2008 British Superbike championship. Honda Racing and HM Plant have won the last two British Superbike titles with Japanese ace Ryuichi Kiyonari and now they’ve put together a team of two young British stars who will be going all-out for glory from the first race of the season next year.

Aro Conquers In First 2007 E2 World Championship Race

Samuli Aro of the KTM Enduro factory Team sent a strong message to his opponents on Saturday when he took the first of two races in the Canadian Enduro Grand Prix at Parry Sound. Aro won in Canada twice in the 2006 races and wants to double his luck on Sunday to try to close the gap in the world championship standings between himself and fellow Finnish rider Mika Ahola, second in Saturday's race.

Planet on E2 Podium in USA

Fabien Planet of the KTM Enduro Factory Team came home in third place in the E2 World Championships round nine in Hancock, New York State, USA on Saturday, in the first of a two day competition. Although the French rider has been consistently scoring championship points, it was Fabien's best performance of the season so far and his first world championship podium for the 2007 competition. Planet came in 1:32.63 behind the leader Mika Ahola, who leads the championship standings and just behind Australian Stefan Merriman who finished second.

KTM Enduro Factory Team Fit For North America

KTM Enduro factory riders head west to the USA & Canada for rounds 5 and 6 of the Enduro World Championship fit and in true KTM "Ready to Race" style to test themselves against a landscape that should especially suit the team's Finnish contingent. Accustomed to riding in green forested areas of their homeland, Juha Salminen (E1), Samuli Aro (E2) and Marko Tarkkala (E3) will all be planning to put in top results in the four separate races that make up the North American contingent of the 2007 World Championship.

Salminen Retains His Perfect Score Card In Italy

Eight rounds into the 16-round Enduro 1 world championship John Salminen of the KTM Factory Team has a perfect score card – 200 points from eight consecutive victories. It doesn't get any better than that. The Finnish supremo's two clear victories this weekend in the GP Leovince of Italy give him a stranglehold on the championship standings as he continues to underline his total dominance in the E1 class. Half way through the season its difficult to imagine that another rider can close the gap on the outstanding Finnish rider who returned this season from the USA to compete again in the world championship circuit.

KTM Enduro Factory Team Pumped With Confidence For Italy

The KTM Enduro Factory Team goes to the Grand Prix Leovince of Italy pumped with confidence and hoping for podiums in all three classes. According to team boss Fabio Farioli, the KTM riders are entitled to both. "We have excellent riders and they can do the job," Farioli said before leaving for Borno in Italy's Lombardy. "This is like a home race for us." The team, although made up of riders from Finland, Spain, Italy and France, has its headquarters in Italy and enjoys competing before the enthusiastic Italian fans. Since the last round in Portugal the KTM riders, according to Farioli have been "training, training, training" – all in their various home countries.

KTM's Salminen All Powerful In Portuguese Enduro

Juha Salminen continued his unabated charge towards the E1 World Championship title winning Sunday’s race at the Portuguese Grand Prix to continue his unblemished record for the season so far. The Finn, who returned from competition in the GNCC Series in the USA to rejoin the Grand Prix circuit started the season with a flurry in Östersund, Sweden in March and with Sunday’s victory in M. Canavezes in Northern Portugal has now won all six races so far held. It doesn’t get any better than that.
