CJ Riders Fund Cycle Race

The quiet scenic track of Cadwell Park is soon to be hit by the madness that has now become the annual CJ Riders Fund Cadwell Park Cycle Race. Once the Superbikes finish on track for qualifying, a sight beyond belief is unfolded. Grown men in lycra suits, dresses or even dressed as Shrek descend upon the track to participate in one of the most talked about events of the year!

Battling Brits, led by Tom Sykes, bid for 'wild-card' World glory

Troy Bayliss is intent on a winning finale as he races Superbikes for the last time in this country at Donington Park on Sunday 7 September prior to hanging up his leathers at the end of the season, but five wild-card British riders, among them Tom Sykes, are determined to spoil the party for the Aussie ace.

Strong Results for Hawk Monsoon

It was a confidence building weekend for the Hawk Colchester Kawasaki team, as both Superbike riders Scott Smart and Peter Hickman gained valuable points in the eighth round of the Bennetts British Superbike series at Oulton Park, Cheshire. Once again appalling weather condition on Friday practice hindered essential progress that the team needed to move the results forward. Both riders plugged away through the wet conditions and posted some good times. The sun shone on the 2.6-mile circuit on Saturday for the third practice session and the afternoon qualifying session which allowed the team to get some essential dry practice and some new elements tested on the Kawasaki ZX10’s.

Hawk Battle Hard To No Avail

Hawk Colchester Kawasaki made strong progress in qualification, and were looking forward to even stronger on race day at Knockhill Circuit this weekend, 1st July. Scott Smart former winner at Knockhill for Hawk, suffered through no fault of his own when he was involved in a heavy crash during Sunday morning’s warm up session when he was taken out by Yamaha mounted. Tommy Hill. Smart damaged his shoulder extensively and despite battling on bravely for the team he was unable to complete the first Superbike race and was forced to pull in on lap 12 of the 22 lap race.

Improvement For Hawk In Ireland

It was another step in the right direction at Mondello Park Ireland for the Hawk Colchester Kawasaki Team. Both Scott Smart and Peter Hickman gained Championship points. With Smart securing a 12th and 10th position and Hickman scoring a 17th and 14th position the team are making progress and moving in the direction that they want to be going in. In torrential weather conditions during Friday and Saturday practice sessions and a very wet qualifying session on Saturday afternoon Smart qualified in 15th position with Hickman in 21st both riders had to work their way through the strong field to gain the overall results.

Progress For Hawk Racing

Hawk Racing made huge progress this weekend at the fifth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship as Scott Smart managed to score his best result of the season so far as he took a strong eighth place in the second race at the super fast Snetterton Circuit. The two Superbike riders had a mixed weekend, 20-year-old Peter Hickman gained a 17th place in the first race but slipped off at the Esses in the second race whilst holding a good points position.

Highs And Lows For Hawk

Hawk Kawasaki discovered the highs and lows of racing this weekend at Oulton Park after two of the four riders had to sit out their races due to injury. Superbike rider Peter Hickman was forced to sit out after a 140 mph crash at Cascades during Sunday’s qualifying, which saw the 20-year-old from Willoughby damage his right wrist. Adding to that youngster Jak Wright, who rides for the Hawk Junior Team, missed his race in the Supersport Cup after a nasty crash at Shell Hairpin saw him break his collarbone.

Mixed Weekend for Hawk Kawasaki

Hawk Kawasaki had a mixed weekend of results this weekend at the third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championships at Silverstone Circuit. Scott Smart suffered a mechanical fault in race one and was forced to pull in but gained a creditable 14th place in the second race.

Points For Hawk At Oulton Park

Hawk Kawasaki riders Craig Coxhell (23) and Peter Hickman (19) scored some strong points in round nine of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this weekend, 21st - 23rd July. After struggling during qualifying the two riders ended up in 17th and 18th position on the grid for the two races on Sunday.

Highs And Lows For Hawk Kawasaki

The Hawk Kawasaki Team experienced the highs and lows of racing this weekend at round seven of the Bennetts British Superbike series at Snetterton Circuit. As Craig Coxhell and Peter Hickman achieved their best results so far this season, fellow team-mate Dean Thomas was involved in an incident in the second Superbike race involving himself and James Haydon. Thomas was treated trackside and also in the medical centre for broken ribs and a punctured right lung, which had to be drained at the circuit.

The three Hawk Kawasaki riders are heading for the picturesque track of Oulton Park, Cheshire this Bank Holiday weekend (29th April – 1st May), for round four of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Dean Thomas (33), Craig Coxhell (23) and Peter Hickman (19) and looking forward to tackling the 2.7-mile circuit. Having tested with Thomas at the circuit last week the Hawk Kawasaki Team are confident they have found a good set up for the event.

The 2.5-mile track is one of the teams' local circuits, with Hawk being based in Ashby-Ze-La-Zouch they are hoping for some positive results.

Strong Performance For Hawk Riders

The three Hawk Kawasaki riders made a good start at the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend. Two of the riders, Dean Thomas and Craig Coxhell left the two races at Brands Indy confidently placed in the top ten in the overall Championship table with youngster Peter Hickman making huge progress throughout the weekend. With varying weather conditions over the three days it was difficult to judge which way it would swing come race day. With a dry first race and wet second race the riders had to adapt to various different race set-ups but each in turn adjusted well and gained creditable results at the end of the day.
