Wiltshire brothers Ollie and Tommy Bridewell continued their impressive start to the 2007 Bennetts British Superbike Championship with another pair of sterling performances at Oulton Park in Cheshire over the Bank Holiday weekend. Aboard the Team NB Suzukis elder brother Ollie (21) got the better of his 18 year old sibling Tommy in both 17-lap races at the Cheshire track as the mixed weather conditions threatened to play havoc with proceedings.
The 2007 Bennetts British Superbike Championship is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and dramatic seasons in its history, and arrives at Oulton Park on May Bank Holiday weekend for one of the highlights of the year! For the past two years, the closest finishes of the BSB season have been at Oulton Park, with three of the last five races decided by less than half a second! Reigning champion Kiyonari beat Lavilla by just 0.004 seconds in 2005, which just goes to show how close and competitive BSB at Oulton Park is!
Ryuichi Kiyonari is the new leader in the chase for the Bennetts British Superbike title – the HM Plant Honda rider enjoyed a dominant, front running double victory in the ninth round at Oulton Park, fully capitalising on a second race machine failure that sidelined the defending champion Gregorio Lavilla.
