Blazusiak Wins Columbus EnduroCross

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Taddy Blazusiak won his first race since returning from a mid-season injury at the fifth round of the EnduroCross Series Saturday night. The day started off well for Blazusiak after he set the fastest lap time in practice on the very fast and difficult course. "There were two hard rock sections that were the only two obstacles that separated the field. Luckily, I found some good lines through them and it helped me to make up time on my competitors," commented Blazusiak.

AMA Announces Additional Support/Sponsorship for Sports Road Race Grand Championships

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is proud to welcome additional sponsors and supporters to the 2008 AMA Sports Road Race Grand Championships, set for this weekend, September 19-21, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Mladin Takes 70TH AMA Superbike Win

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing's Mat Mladin, Ben Spies and Tommy Hayden replicated their impressive results from Saturday's AMA Superbike race in Sunday's final event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mladin won again and in doing so celebrated his 70th career AMA Superbike victory and his seventh win this year. Defending two-time AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies started from pole position and again followed Mladin home in second place while Rockstar Makita Suzuki team mate Tommy Hayden again brought home fifth.

Mladin Wins at Ohio AMA Superbikes

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing celebrated its 40th AMA Superbike win in a row at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, on Saturday as six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin took the win. Mladin overcame a get-off and three red flags to take this victory, which marks the Australian's 69th career AMA Superbike victory and his sixth win of the season. Defending and two-time AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies was recovering from a recent appendectomy but still started from pole position and followed Mladin home in second place as Tommy Hayden brought home an impressive fifth-place result.

Mladin Wins At Mid-Ohio

Yoshimura Suzuki's Mat Mladin overcame inclement weather and an all-day rain delay to win Sunday's AMA Superbike race and therefore sweep both AMA Superbike races of the weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. This is the second Mid-Ohio win for six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mladin and it's his eighth win at the Lexington circuit. Additionally, this win is Mladin's eighth of the 2007 season and his 59th career AMA Superbike victory.

Yoshimura Suzuki 1-2 At Mid Ohio

Yoshimura Suzuki team mates Mat Mladin and Ben Spies continued their domination of AMA Superbike in Saturday's race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. This first of two Superbike races in the double-header weekend was red-flagged midway through the event: In the first part of the race, Spies led the way but after the re-start Mladin took the lead after a few laps.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the AMA Superbike Championship together will reach a milestone on Aug. 3-5, with the 25th running of the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire at the challenging road course in Lexington, Ohio. Many of the greats in AMA Superbike have won at Mid-Ohio. Hall of Famers such as Fred Merkel, Steve Wise, Kevin Schwantz, Bubba Shobert and Doug Chandler have all scored Superbike victories at the 2.4-mile, 15-turn circuit. This year Yoshimura Suzuki riders Ben Spies and Mat Mladin bring their spirited championship battle to Mid-Ohio.

Kopp Hoping For Three Straight At Greenville Half-mile

Only one rider has tasted victory at Greenville, Ohio’s Darke County Fairgrounds Half-mile and that is Screamin’ Eagle/Latus Harley-Davidson rider Joe Kopp. Kopp, the 38-year-old former AMA Grand National Champion from Mica, Wash., will be gunning for his third straight national win at the 3rd Annual Annie Oakley Shootout in Greenville this Saturday, July 21, part of the AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship.

AMA Supermoto slides into Miller Motorsports Park, a state-of-the-art, multi-configurational road racing circuit located in Tooele, Utah this weekend, June 23, for The Plaza Cycle AMA Supermoto Challenge, round three of the 10-round AMA Supermoto Championship. The event is part of the Honda Summit of Speed weekend and joins the AMA Superbike Championship presented by Parts Unlimited for three days of non-stop motorcycle racing action.

Josh Hayes Is 2006 Formula Xtreme Champion

Josh Hayes captured the 2006 Lockhart Phillips USA Formula Xtreme Series title by taking a dramatic victory in the series finale at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday, Oct. 1. Formula Xtreme was the most closely contested series in AMA championship road racing this year. Hayes, Eric Bostrom and Jason DiSalvo came into Mid-Ohio all with a good shot at winning the title. Hayes turned in one of the best races of his career to secure his second AMA title. He rode an Erion Racing Honda CBR600RR-based machine to a 2.355-second margin of victory over Yamaha’s Bostrom.

Hodgson Battles To Third In Mid-Ohio Season Finale, Bostrom Fourth

Neil Hodgson finished off the 2006 season with a podium result at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and teammate Ben Bostrom was fourth to end the AMA Superbike season for Parts Unlimited Ducati. Hodgson ran strong in both ends of the red-flagged race, leading the event on lap 15. The Englishman challenged for the win on the Ducati 999 and in the middle portions of the race was especially strong in the "Thunder Valley" section of the track.

Spies Wins Superbike Title For Suzuki

Team Yoshimura Suzuki’s Ben Spies clinched his first AMA Superbike title aboard his GSX-R1000 at today’s final-round at Lexington’s Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as team mates Mat Mladin and Aaron Yates topped the rostrum. In a race that was red flagged, the young Texan finished seventh; he had to finish within the top 13 to clinch the series and record Suzuki’s fourth title in a row.

Superbike Practice Session Added At Mid-Ohio’s Superbike Shootout

An additional AMA Superbike practice session has been added to Friday’s schedule at the AMA Superbike Shootout held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sept. 29 – Oct. 1. This weekend’s season finale will run under a unique format using heat races and a Last Chance Qualifier instead of timed qualifying to determine the grid for Sunday’s Superbike Championship finale. Grids for the heat races will be determined by times set during Friday’s practice sessions.

Team Yoshimura Suzuki’s Ben Spies won his 10th AMA Superbike race of the season at Mid-Ohio in Lexington today by repeating his victorious performance from Saturday’s Superbike race as team mate and defending AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin finished in second place. With the victory, Spies became only the third rider ever to sweep a double-header AMA Superbike race weekend at Mid-Ohio; the other two riders were his team mates Mladin and Aaron Yates – who crashed out of this weekend’s race.

Tough Day For Bostrom And Hodgson In Ohio

Ben Bostrom and Neil Hodgson fought through a difficult day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday. Both Parts Unlimited Ducati riders had to pit, which ruined their chances at another podium for the Ducati 999 Superbike. Although both riders mounted a challenge on Saturday, their final results didn't reflect their competitiveness.

Bostrom On The Provisional Front Row In Ohio, Hodgson A Close Fifth

Parts Unlimited Ducati's Ben Bostrom qualified on the provisional front row at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday. The veteran Superbike star was an impressive fourth in the afternoon qualifying session at the resurfaced track. His teammate Neil Hodgson finished fifth, just behind Bostrom's 999 Superbike on the timing charts.
