Over the weekend of the 11 – 13 July, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will celebrate the UK’s role in providing a high-profile, competitive environment for the world’s top manufacturers and star riders by commemorating the success of the most competitive domestic motorcycle racing series in the world, the British Superbike Championship. Goodwood aims to gather together one of the largest collections of significant machinery and famous riders from the renowned championship that has ever been seen. Expect to see great champions such as Terry Rymer on his 1990 championship winning Loctite Yamaha OW01, Jamie Whitham riding Niall Mackenzie’s 1998 championship winning Cadbury’s Boost Yamaha YZF750 and John Reynolds on his 2004 championship winning Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000.
