Best Performance of the Season for Canepa Eight. Kallio Tenth

Confused race in Donington for MotoGP riders. The track conditions have changed many times due to some light rain that has fallen on the circuit where there were about ten laps left. Niccolò has managed very well this situation and after a difficult start he has begun his spectacular comeback.

The typical English weather has characterized the first free practice session of the British GP. Heavy rain has in fact fallen on the Donington circuit during the first minutes of the free session. After about half session the sun came back helping the track to dry out.

Pramac Racing riders, Mika Kallio and Niccolò Canepa, have lived different situation at the Sachsenring circuit last Sunday, but now everything is in the past and the white and red duo is ready for another weekend of racing at Donington. It will be the last time here, at least for the next years to come, in fact, from next season the MotoGP World Championship will move to Silverstone for the British round. Donington circuit is one of the oldest included in the MotoGP 2009 calendar. Mika Kallio has made it to step on its podium three times in his still short career: twice on the second step behind Bautista in the 125cc class in 2006 and 2005, and once in first position in 250cc last season in front of Simoncelli and Bautista. Also Niccolò did take some satisfactions on this circuit winning his first race here when he was riding in Superstock 1000cc in 2007. The circuit is 4023 meters long and present 7 right turns and 4 left turns.

Good Race for Canepa. Unlucky Kallio Concluded in 14th

Notwithstanding the precarious physical condition after yesterday's accident with Nicky Hayden, Niccolò Canepa has grit his teeth and made it to conclude his first race at the Sachsenring in twelfth position. The Italian rider didn't start in the best way possible and found himself in last position in the first three laps, but made it to constantly improve and reached and overtook Vermeulen, Talmacsi and his teammate Mika Kallio.

Four Points in the American Grand Prix for Canepa

Not an easy start for the Pramac Racing rider in the Grand Prix of America, in fact, Niccolò Canepa found him self in last position in the first turns. The Italian rider have tried to push more to recover some positions, but the missing of grip in the front of the bike and seeing some riders crash in front of him, made him take the decision to don't risk and take home four world championship points.

The first free practice at Assen has been with perfect track and temperature condition. Mika Kallio has concluded in thirteenth position, the maximum from his point of view for a rookie, just over a second and half from the first while his team mate, Niccolò Canepa, is in eighteenth position.

Everything is ready for the sixth MotoGP World Championship round in Barcelona, Spain, which will host the Grand Prix of Cataluña. Inaugurated in 1992, year of Olympics games hosted by the city of Barcelona, the track is 4247 meters long and is ridden clockwise direction with eight rights turns and five left turns.

Weather condition similar to two weeks ago during the Grand Prix of France and this time the tactic choose is the right one. Niccolò Canepa, Pramac Racing rider, has in fact changed to the second bike with wet set up after only a few laps on the contrary of two weeks ago. With the second bike Niccolò demonstrated his true value recovering many positions concluding the race in ninth place.

The Italian rider has concluded in thirteenth position after spending most of the time in the top ten during qualifying and he will have to start in fifth row.

Gibernau Ends the Ducati Testing Session at Mugello

Sete Gibernau finished a two-days testing session he was taking part in at Mugello together with the Official Testers Vittoriano Guareschi and Niccola Canepa that will continue tomorrow for the final day. The Spanish rider, back in action for the third time after retiring almost two years ago, kept up an excellent pace, lapping consistently in around 1m50.5 with race tyre. Despite the difficult climatic conditions, with scorching air and track temperatures, Gibernau clocked an impressive fastest lap time in 1m48.9 with qualifying tyres. A crash around the end of the day, luckily without consequences, has nevertheless suggested to end the test early given the good job already made during two days.
