We are very pleased to announce that 22-year-old British rider Ian Lowry will join Atsushi Watanabe in the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing British Superbike team for 2009.

Relentless Suzuki End Season in Style
21 October 2008
Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing ended their 2008 racing season in fine style with four wins in two days at the Sunflower Trophy Races in Ireland. Michael Laverty, so often the king of the Bishopscourt Circuit, won two out of three Superbike races, but unfortunately he couldn’t add to his tally of five wins in the Sunflower race in somewhat horrendous conditions. He had been shadowing brother John and Michael Rutter at the front of the field, before a massive front wheel slide on the saturated County Down circuit forced him to settle for a strong finish in 4th place.

No Luck for the ‘Fighting Irish’ at Brands
15 October 2008
It was a disappointing end to the 2008 British Superbike Championship for Relentless by TAS Suzuki, with an electrical problem and a small mechanic fault forcing Michael Laverty out of races one and two respectively. Without scoring a single point today, Michael still maintained his top nine in the final championship standings. Ian Lowry qualified on row two in the British Supersport class on his Relentless Suzuki, before getting involved in a five-way battle for fourth place throughout the race.

07 October 2008 | 3 Comments
Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing is pleased to announce the signing of Atsushi Watanabe, the 2002 and 2007 Japanese Superbike Champion, who will race the all-new GSX–R1000 for the Irish based team in the 2009 British Superbike Championship. Atsushi made his British Superbike debut this season under the guidance of the Rizla Suzuki team, giving him the chance to learn 12 new circuits, whilst also adapting to the European culture.

Laverty Consolidates Championship Position in BSB
27 August 2008
Michael Laverty consolidated his BSB Championship position at Cadwell Park yesterday with a brace of top ten results [8th & 9th]. The Toomebridge rider maintains ninth place in the series, only two points behind Simon Andrew with six races remaining. Ian Lowry showed true grit and determination at Cadwell Park, coming from a lowly qualifying position [16th] to eventually finish eighth on the tight and twisty Lincolnshire circuit in the Supersport class. Having crashed heavily during free practice at over 120mph, it was a brave effort from the battered and bruised 21-year-old. Aussie Cameron Donald joined Lowry in the sick bay at Cadwell with a stomach bug, but Cameron didn’t let it deter him, eventually finishing in 11th place. This was Cameron’s last race in the British Superstock Championship for 2008, as he returns to Melbourne on Monday.

Rain Stops Play at Dundrod
18 August 2008
There was disappointment all round in the Relentless Suzuki camp when Saturday’s Ulster Grand Prix was cancelled due to a severe weather warning in Northern Ireland. The organising Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club were left with no other option when 45mm of rain fell within a three-hour period on Saturday morning leaving the circuit in no fit state for racing. Relentless Suzuki riders Bruce Anstey and Cameron Donald had performed extremely well in the qualifying sessions with Anstey taking pole position in the Superbike class by almost four seconds. The Kiwi then took pole position in the Superstock class with a new unofficial lap record of 128.95mph. Donald also dipped under the previous lap record, posting a time of 128.62mph on his GSX–R1000 Suzuki making it a one–two for the Moneymore team on the front row.

Varying Emotions for Relentless Suzuki at Knockhill
12 August 2008
Ian Lowry produced a near faultless performance earlier today at Knockhill in Fife, putting his K8 GSX-R600 Relentless by TAS Suzuki on the top step of the British Supersport podium. Michael Laverty had a frustrating day in the Superbike class with only one points scoring finish to show for his front row qualifying position. Australian Cameron Donald made his Knockhill debut in the Superstock class, finishing today's race in eighth place.

Donald Extends Contract Into 2009
08 August 2008
Prior to this weekend’s BSB round at Knockhill in Fife, Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing is please to announce the signing of Aussie sensation Cameron Donald for the 2009 season. Donald, a double winner at this year’s Isle of Man TT, has shown early commitment to Relentless Suzuki and TAS Racing, putting pen to paper earlier today. On the BSB front, Cameron will campaign his GSXR1000 Relentless Suzuki Superstock machine this weekend at Knockhill and also at Cadwell Park before returning to Australia in early September. He will also take in next week¹s Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week before meeting up with the team in November to ride the Macau Grand Prix on a GSXR1000 Relentless Suzuki Superbike.

Positive Test at Knockhill for Relentless Suzuki
29 July 2008
The Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing team took advantage of the recent spell of good weather, testing at Knockhill yesterday, with their BSB team of Michael Laverty (superbike), Ian Lowry (supersport) and Cameron Donald (superstock). With the next round of the championship at Knockhill on August 8/9/10, Australian Cameron Donald used the test session to familiarise himself with yet another track on the BSB calendar. In almost 25 degrees heat Donald completed over 80 laps of the Fife circuit, putting in laps on his GSX–R1000 superstock machine and his FIM specification GSX–R1000 superbike in preparation for the forthcoming Ulster Grand Prix on August 14/15/16. Donald also used the time to compare his superbike with that of Michael Laverty’s, throwing up some very interesting results for the team and the riders. He also spent time assisting the team in their development of the K8 GSX–R600 Suzuki.

Lowry Secures Supersport Podium at Oulton
22 July 2008
Ian Lowry secured his fourth British Supersport podium of the season at Oulton Park in Cheshire yesterday, taking third place behind Glen Richards and Hudson Kennaugh. Michael Laverty worked hard all weekend posting two top ten results [9th and 7th] in the British Superbike races. The Toomebridge rider battled through from 16th on lap one of the opening BSB race taking a hard fought ninth place at the chequered flag; then in race two his seventh place again demonstrated his pedigree in the premier class. Double TT winner Cameron Donald was making his Oulton Park debut in the superstock races, securing a brace of top ten results with seventh in race one and tenth in race two.

Lowry Takes Mallory Park Podium
02 July 2008
Relentless Suzuki by TAS riders Ian Lowry and Michael Laverty can both take positives from Sunday’s BSB round at Mallory Park. Lowry secured a strong podium finish after a very wet British Supersport race in third place. Laverty’s results [11th and a DNF] do not reflect the strength of his performances at the Leicestershire venue. In race one, Laverty was in the front five fighting for the win but after being punted out of second place at Shaw’s Hairpin by Shane Byrne on lap 7, then getting caught out by backmarkers in the closing stages – the Toomebridge rider lost the front going into Charlie’s while holding a solid fifth place. He eventually remounted to finish 11th.

Solid Points for Laverty & Lowry at Snetterton
16 June 2008
Relentless Suzuki riders Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry both scored solid points in their respective British Championship classes [Superbike and Supersport] earlier today at Snetterton in Norfolk. Laverty finished his first race in an impressive sixth; then in a wet second race, Michael made his way through the field after a poor start to again finish in a solid sixth position. Unfortunately, Laverty had used the best of his wet weather Pirelli tyre chasing down the leaders, and having been as high as fourth at one stage, the current British Supersport champion’s first BSB podium on the Relentless Suzuki cannot be too far away.

Cameron Donald Second in Senior TT Thriller
07 June 2008
Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey both left an indelible mark on today’s prestigious six-lap Senior TT on the Isle of Man. On his GSX–R1000 K8 Relentless Suzuki Superbike [a bike Anstey said, was the best he’s ever ridden] the flying Kiwi led at the end of laps one and two, before being forced to retire in pit lane with a broken chain. His teammate Cameron Donald then took the challenge to John McGuinness with the lead swapping between the pair on more than five occasions during the six-lap thriller. But with only one lap remaining, Donald’s Relentless Suzuki began leaking oil from a crankcase wound, caused by the constant pounding at the bottom of Barragarrow. Not content to pull out of the race, the 30-year-old Aussie nursed his ‘sick’ Suzuki home in a valiant effort that was rewarded with second place in the world’s highest profile pure road race.

Justice for Anstey on the Mountain
06 June 2008
Bruce Anstey put the disappointed of Monday’s supersport race firmly behind him, taking an emphatic 34 second victory in the Relentless Supersport TT Race 2 earlier today. Anstey and Ian Hutchinson couldn’t be separated at the end of the opening lap, but the 39-year-old Kiwi dropped the hammer on lap two, opening up an eight second lead, also recording a new lap record of 125.359mph. From there in, Bruce’s GSX–R600 Relentless Suzuki never missed a beat and the quietly spoken Kiwi took the chequered flag and his seventh Isle of Man TT victory. The win also completed the set for TAS Racing, having now won every available solo four stroke class in TT racing history.

Luckless Anstey Robbed of Victory
05 June 2008
Bruce Anstey’s start to finish victory in today’s Relentless Supersport TT race one, where he also set a new lap record, has unfortunately been overturned by the organisers after a technical infringement. An after-market part, not supplied by Suzuki, was discovered to be outside the tolerance levels set by the TT organisers for the supersport class.

Donald ‘Doubles Up’ at Isle of Man TT
05 June 2008
Cameron Donald gave Relentless Suzuki win number two at TT 2008 taking the Superstock victory in a four-lap thriller on the Mountain Circuit earlier today. The 30-year-old Aussie took a slender one second lead going onto lap two; he then increased that advantage to 15 seconds over the next three laps, handing Suzuki their seventh Superstock TT victory in as many years. Bruce Anstey was the pre-race favourite but a heavy cold left the Kiwi feeling less than one hundred percent and he retired at the end of the second lap.

Suzuki Domination in Superbike TT
02 June 2008 | 3 Comments
It was an all Suzuki podium in today’s TT Superbike race on the Isle of Man with Aussie Cameron Donald taking his first ever Mountain Circuit victory. His Relentless Suzuki teammate Bruce Anstey followed him home in second place, with former TAS Suzuki pilot Adrian Archibald in third – a clean sweep for the K8 GSX–R1000 TAS Performance prepared Suzukis. This also maintains TAS Racing’s one-hundred percent record at the TT, with every rider on their books, since Norman Brown, making a trip to the top step on Glencrutchery Road. Guy Martin was the early race leader, but Donald was relentless in his pursuit of the Lincolnshire rider, taking over at the front on lap 4 when Martin retired at Sulby. Both Relentless Suzuki riders circulated together from as early as lap three, and when they eventually crossed the line at the end of six laps and 226 miles of racing, they were only separated by 10 seconds at the head of the field.

Lowry Shows World Class Form
27 May 2008
Ian Lowry put his GSX–R600 Relentless Suzuki on the top step of the podium at Donington Park earlier today, after a titanic battle with World Supersport riders Jonathan Rea and Andrew Pitt. It was a welcome return to the front of the pack for Lowry who spent the entire race mixing it with the Ten Kate duo crossing the line in third place. Due to an infringement with the rules, both Ten Kate riders were subsequently disqualified, giving Lowry the win – nothing more than he deserved after a masterful performance.

A G’Day for Donald at the Triangle
20 May 2008
Relentless Suzuki by TAS rider Cameron Donald made a strong international debut for the Moneymore based team at Saturday’s Kennedy International North West 200 with a brace of podium finishes. The Australian rider, in only his third North West 200, narrowly lost out to Steve Plater in the blue Riband superbike race after being block-passed into the penultimate chicane at Juniper Hill by BSB regular Michael Rutter. This let Plater slip through to take the victory. Ironically, Donald suffered the same fate, at the same chicane, on the final lap of the CP Hire Superstock race, when a Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing ‘one–two’ looked almost inevitable. When the chequered flag was unfurled it was Alastair Seeley who took the win with Anstey second and Donald third – a double podium for Relentless Suzuki.

Laverty Closing in on BSB Podium
13 May 2008
Michael Laverty continued his impressive superbike form on the Relentless Suzuki GSX–R1000 at Brands Hatch earlier today, with a fourth placed finish in race two. In race one, after a superb start, Laverty forced his way through to third before unfortunately crashing out at Druids when hot on the heels of Tom Sykes in second place. Ian Lowry had a tough weekend but battled bravely in today’s supersport race with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately Lowry just lost out on a points scoring finish after being forced to start his race from pit lane, due to a front brake problem on the warm-up lap.
