Stereophonics Guitarist Chooses Suzuki B-King

Stereophonics guitarist Richard Jones, took delivery of a brand-new Suzuki B-King muscle bike last week, just in time to appreciate the use of two wheels on National Ride to Work Day, taking place today (Wednesday 16th July). The bass guitarist, from the legendary Welsh rock group, decided on the 1340cc Suzuki B-King for his regular trips through London to the recording studio and record company after falling for its futuristic styling and impressive performance.

‘Now’s The Time’ To Get On Two Wheels

National Motorcycle Week is the annual campaign organised by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI) to promote the benefits of motorcycling. The event runs from 13th – 19th July and the key date is Ride to Work Day on the 16th. This year the theme is ‘Now’s The Time’. This is because the industry aims to encourage more new people into motorcycling before new legislation is introduced later in 2008.

Bikers Say ‘Kick Out The Jams’ In National Motorcycle Week

Thousands of motorcycle and scooter owners across the country will be heading to work on two wheels as part of a National Motorcycle Week organised by the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI). Ride to Work Day, part of National Motorcycle Week, has been highlighting the number of motorcyclists in the UK and the social, environmental and economic benefits of two-wheeled powered vehicles since it was first created by the MCI in 1999. The squad of riders will be descending on London to celebrate all things two wheels. The squad is supported by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), Bikesafe, The RAC and manufacturers including Piaggio, Honda, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki , BMW, Suzuki and Barrus.

Survey Says More of Us are Turning to 2 Wheels

Registrations of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds last month were 10.2 per cent up on the same month last year, according to figures issued by the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA). Motorbike registrations recorded at 13,747 were 1,269 up on April, 2007. This takes the total market this year to 44,441 – up 1.3 per cent on the same period last year. Increases were seen across almost all engine sizes and bike categories with mopeds up 49.7 per cent and scooters up 42.3 per cent.

This week the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) is holding the annual National Motorcycle Week in order to promote the benefits of motorcycling. The 18th July was also 'Ride to Work Day' which Scottoiler fully supported by encouraging all of its staff to ride either their motorcycle or bicycle to work. The theme of this year's event is "Now is the Time" which aims to encourage new riders to sit their motorcycle test before the 2nd European Driving Licence Directive is introduced in September 2008. Approximately 1/3 of Scottoiler staff currently hold a motorcycle licence with another member due to sit their test in the near future.

National Motorcycle Week – Ride 2 Work - Ace Cafe

Today, as most will know is the National Motorcycle Week’s Ride 2 Work day and is designed to encourage motorcycle and scooter owners to ride to work, and if they can, take a friend, colleague or family member with them. This week’s worth of events is setup and organised by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA). The aim of the day is to highlight that motorcycling cuts congestion, pollution, and journey times and is convenient and flexible.

National Motorcycle Week promotes motorcycling and the benefits associated with it. The campaign aims to demonstrate to the public, media and politicians the number of motorcyclists in the UK and at the same time it emphasises the important point that owners are from all walks of life and that riding has social, environmental and economic benefits.

From the 15th - 21st July 2007 the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) is holding the annual National Motorcycle Week in order to promote the benefits of motorcycling. The 18th July will also be 'Ride to Work Day' which aims to highlight to the general public that motorcycling helps to cut pollution, congestion and journey times as well as being a cost effective and convenient mode of transportation. The theme of this year's event is "Now is the Time" which aims to encourage new riders to sit their motorcycle test before the 2nd European Driving Licence Directive is introduced in September 2008. The main purpose of this new legislation is to reduce the rate of motorcycle accidents by introducing an off-road element to the motorcycle test. However this is likely to make the test more difficult than it is at present and also more expensive, therefore riders are encouraged to sit their test before this comes into effect.

Captains Of Industry And MCI Take The Bikesafe Challenge In National Motorcycle Week 2006

Bikesafe are challenging senior members of the motorcycle industry to a BikeSafe assessment as part of the National Motorcycle Week activities. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Piaggio, Watsonian Squire and Norman Hyde are the manufacturers who will be participating on 18th July. Staff from the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI), based in Coventry, will be joining them too, as they are put through their paces by some of the most experienced motorcycle cops in the UK.

Brad And Angelina Named Most Wanted 'Fantasy Ride'

The National Motorcycle Week survey found that the current couple of the moment were voted the two famous faces that people would most like to take fantasy pillion ride with. The couple notched up 35% of the votes between them, with Brad coming out top of the poll. Overall 36% of women selected Brad and 26% of men named Angelina. But they still managed to secure a few same sex votes too, with Ange slightly more popular with women (3.8%) compared to Brad's votes from men (2.7%).

Mary Anne Hobbs Adds The ‘F’ Factor To National Motorcycle Week 2006

National Motorcycle Week is the annual event that encourages all riders to get on their bikes and show their friends, colleagues, the media and the politicians that riders come from all walks of life. Bikes offer a multitude of benefits to the individual as well as the rest of the community.

Research Reveals The 'F' Factor is Revitalised by Motorcycling

Research carried out by the Motor Cycle Industry Association revels that the 'F' factor is live and kicking for National Motorcycle Week. Huddersfield University researched rider's attitudes in a project 'The Search for Adventure in Motorcycling' and found that, freedom, fun and friendship emerged as important themes for riders - alongside 'fulfilment'.

'Have You Got The F Factor?' - National Motorcycle Week 2006

The Motor Cycle Industry Association has adopted the slogan 'Have You Got the F Factor?' for this years National Motorcycle Week 16th -23rd July. The slogan will help promote four key factors that express the joy of riding a bike or scooter.

National Motorcycle Week which is run by the MCIA, (Motor Cycle Industry Association) has been launched to promote motorcycling and scooter riding and the benefits associated with it. It takes place from 16th July 2006 to 23rd July 2006 to link in with other international events in countries like the Germany and USA. The week is an occasion when people unite to highlight motorcycles and scooters by getting active and vocal by holding events, speaking to the press, converting friends, relatives or just getting out and about on their bike.
