Yesterday
The beginning of what will probably be a wet weekend with rain on Saturday and Sunday saw the FIM Motocross World Championship collective all set up at Mantova, the Italian city hosting the fifth round of the 2008 GP Campaign. A superb Yamaha Monster Motocross’ David Philippaerts enters Italy as the series leader and looks forward to improving on his last year’s result at Mantova, where he was knocked out twice. One of his main actual challengers is GPKR’s Sebastien Pourcel, the winner of the latest three Lovemytime Pole Position Awards who also topped the podium in Portugal.

MotoGP Meets MXGP
Yesterday
Normally found circulating the racetracks aboard his Ninja ZX-RR MotoGP machine, Anthony West got the chance this week to test a factory Kawasaki race bike of a very different sort. A keen off-roader when he's not racing in MotoGP, West was quick to accept an invitation from GPKR Team Manager, Patrick Geladé, to join the factory Kawasaki GPKR motocross team at a private off-road test track in Belgium, before heading off to Le Mans for this weekend's French Grand Prix.

GPKR Riders Enjoy French Championship Wins
05 May 2008
Grand Prix Kawasaki Racing riders Sébastien Pourcel and Livia Lancelot both won this weekend – Sebastien dominated the French MX1 championship round while Livia took victory in the new Women’s series. Sébastien didn’t have time to celebrate his Portuguese GP win as just three days later he was in Gaillac Toulza for the practice sessions of the French Elite Championship. He collected another pole position - two and a half seconds ahead of Aranda and Aubin - on a dry and fast circuit. The racing conditions were also great on Thursday and Sébastien had no real rivals - starting the two MX1 heats in second position he won both races easily.

05 May 2008
KTM factory rider Sven Breugelmans of Belgium came home strongly in the two motos of the fourth round of the MX3 World Championship in Plomion in France to finish third and first and take the top podium spot for the day. Riding for the JM Racing Team, Sven was third in the first moto but lacked a little feeling and rhythm. But after consultations with team boss Jacky Martens in between the two heats he went out hard and fast in the second. He was second at the start behind teammate Alvaro Lozano and made one small mistake.
