Reigning Champion Gregorio Lavilla weathered the storm last weekend at Donington Park, and currently leads this year's British Superbike Championship by 24 points from 2005 runner up Ryuichi Kiyonari. Two of the best riders in the world, they produced probably the closest finish in the history of British Superbikes at Oulton Park last season, the Japanese rider taking victory by just 0.004 seconds in a thrilling battle. Brits Leon Haslam and Karl Harris are well placed in the points standings, and will be looking to score victories at the Cheshire circuit on raceday Bank Holiday Monday.
