	Motohaus Appointed Exclusive UK Distributor for Alpine Moulded Plugs 21 July 2006 Motohaus have been appointed exclusive UK distributors for Alpine, the distinctive moulded ear plugs that bridge the gap between expensive custom-made ear plugs and the disposable foam versions. Research shows that regularly riding in wind noise will irrevocably result in hearing damage, fatigue and a loss of concentration. With the average noise inside a motorcycle helmet reaching 92.7dB at 100 km/h (60 mp/h), that’s significantly higher than the 80dB ceiling recommended under European health and safety legislation for anyone exposed to noise for a prolonged period of time. Only a tiny fraction of Britain’s 1 million motorcyclists opt for expensive custom-made earplugs, and Motohaus believe there will be strong demand for this affordable alternative to cheap disposable foam earplugs.
