BMW to mark ‘Year of Enduro’ at the BMF Show

The annual BMF Show at Peterborough on the 17th-18th May is the largest outdoor motorcycling event in Europe, drawing thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the UK. BMW Motorrad will be at the show celebrating their ‘Year of Enduro’ by providing visitors with the opportunity to test ride four of its new enduro models - the F 800 GS, F 650 GS, R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure. The BMW Motorrad stand will feature new models for 2008 as well as a selection of bikes from the existing range, and BMW’s friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to offer in depth technical support and information…or just talk bikes with you!

Martin Finnegan Dies in Tragic Accident

Talented Irishman Martin Finnegan has tragically lost his life competing in the Tandragee 100 event this weekend. Finnegan who was competing for the JMF Millsport Yamaha team died in the accident at Marlacoo Corner. Finnegan had earlier won the opening race of the day which was his 43rd road race victory of his career.

Moto Morini Avio & 1200 Sport Due In UK Spring 2008

Moto Morini will introduce two new models this spring, with another two due to follow later in the year, expanding the range of machines available to UK riders from three to seven. First to arrive on British roads will be the Avio, a version of the Corsaro designed specially for those riding a potent V-twin for the first time. Its Corsacorta Bialbero 1187 cc twin-cylinder engine has been optimized to deliver 120 hp to the shaft (compared to 140 hp on the standard model) and offer a full-bodied, fluid thrust at low revs, with 102 Nm of torque.
