THINK! Renews BSB Sponsorchip & Relaunches The Motorcycle Academy

THINK!, the Department for Transport’s (DfT) road safety initiative, has signed up for a fifth consecutive year as a sponsor of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike (BSB) Championship. The season, which kicks off at Brands Hatch on the 5th April will see a re-launched, interactive THINK! Motorcycle Academy, on-site at every BSB race to inform and entertain fans. The sponsorship - supported by on-site activity in the form of the THINK! Motorcycle Academy Unit - has been welcomed by BSB riders and fans who see the campaign as a positive and effective way of educating and informing motorcyclists about road safety. To maximise the campaign’s effectiveness the 2008 THINK! Motorcycle Academy will be more interactive than ever, combining important safety messages with fun and entertaining features such as top rider interviews, all the latest 2008 Superbikes on display, interactive computer pods, a Honda rider simulator and a BSB photo studio.

Think! Motorcycle Academy Enjoys High Profile Nec Bike Show And Scoops Award For Best Trade Stand

The THINK! Motorcycle Academy enjoyed a hugely successful debut appearance at the 2007 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, which came to a close on Sunday night at the NEC in Birmingham. The Academy, which is designed to promote the government’s road safety message and encourage riders to ‘Give their bike the skills it deserves’, scooped the award for ‘Best Trade Stand’ while attracting tens of thousands of visitors during the ten-day event.

THINK! Motorcycle Academy Proves A Winner With BSB Fans

As the curtain came down on another thrilling Bennetts British Superbike season at Brands Hatch last weekend, the THINK! Motorcycle Academy once again showed itself to be the focal point of the series for fans. Thousands of fans queued up to meet leading local riders Leon Camier, Tommy Hill and Scott Smart, while three time British Superbike Champion and THINK! Ambassador, John Reynolds, was once again on hand to talk to and sign autographs for the massive crowds, who were basking in the autumn sunshine.

Think! Motorcycle Academy Attracts Big Name Riders!

Having established itself as a focal point of the British Superbike Championship, the THINK! Motorcycle Academy has attracted thousands of fans who have benefited from exciting activities and important safety messages. On the circuit, the established stars have been battling it out with a horde of young riders with four rookies in the top factory teams providing a strong challenge to the established order. Similarly, the Academy has seen regular appearances from both veteran BSB Champions and these new young riders, with racers dedicating their valuable time to taking part on the THINK! unit.
