Stoner Storms In The Rain
14 July 2008
Casey Stoner ‘s third successive grand prix victory came in dramatic circumstances in the pouring rain at the Alice Grand Prix of Germany at the Sachsenring this afternoon. Championship leader Dani Pedrosa raced away at the start of the 30 lap race round the tight twisty 2.281 mile circuit to build up a seven second advantage in the spray and looked likely to repeat his success of last year. However the pace he was setting in the spray on the Repsol Honda was too hot and down he went at turn one with the opposition well out of sight. Stoner, who started from pole for the fourth successive race on the Marlboro Ducati, needed no second chance and took full advantage at the circuit where he had never won previously.

Toseland Back Into The Unknown
07 July 2008
After disappointments at two circuits he knows well, James Toseland returns to his journey into the unknown at the Alice Grand Prix of Germany at the tight twisty Sachsenring on Sunday. The 27 year old Yorkshireman has shown already in his MotoGP debut season how quickly he can learn new circuits on the Tech 3 Yamaha and the tenth round of the MotoGP World Championship should be no exception. Toseland crashed in Donington and struggled with the set-up in Assen to eventually finish in ninth place but still holds eighth place in the Championship, just ten points behind former World Champion Nicky Hayden.

Toseland Hammers Another Six in Barcelona
10 June 2008
Yorkshireman James Toseland fought a ferocious battle to score his fourth sixth position of the season in the Cinzano Grand Prix of Catalunya in Barcelona this afternoon. It was a tough race on his debut at the 2.937 miles Circuit De Catalunya. An early tangle with Valentino Rossi pushed the Tech 3 Yamaha rider wide but he fought back and pipped Australian Chris Vermeulen to sixth place on the line. “I had a difficult few opening laps while I settled into a rhythm with the new settings on the bike,” said Toseland, who moved into seventh place in the Championship before his only one appearance in front of the British fans at the bwin.com British Grand Prix at Donington Park in two weeks time. “Valentino passed me and then I got pushed back a bit further before I managed to pull things back. I just got my head down and focussed on gaining some places. It’s hard work at these tracks that I don’t know so I’m really pleased to have qualified and finished the race in sixth position. My aim coming into the race was to finish sixth and improve my championship position and I’ve done both. I’m looking forward to getting to Donington now to see what I can do at a track that I’m familiar with.”

New Boy Toseland at the ‘Home’ Of British Youngsters
05 June 2008
There is hardly time for the British riders to catch their breath as they race from Italy to Spain to compete in the Cinzano Grand Prix of Catalunya in Barcelona on Sunday. For James Toseland it’s a new experience as he prepares to pit his considerable skill against the demands of the superb 2.937 miles Circuit De Catalunya for the very first time. For the British 125 cc youngsters it’s a familiar path because Bradley Smith, Danny Webb and Scott Redding have all honed their World Championship skills in the Barcelona based MotoGP academy and in the Spanish 125 cc Championship. Ulsterman Eugene Laverty also faces the 250 cc race after equalling his best ever grand prix finish at Mugello on Sunday.

Toseland Aims to Erase Those Le Mans Blues
26 May 2008
James Toseland returns to the MotoGP fray at Mugello determined to erase memories of his Le Mans crash and get down to some serious points scoring. The 27 year old Yorkshireman has never raced at the legendary Italian venue but that’s nothing new this season for the Tech 3 Yamaha rider who has at least ridden round the track on a superbike but never in a race. He’s made a tremendous start to his MotoGP career and it was only his tangle with Andre Dovizioso in France that has dropped him to ninth place in the title chase after five rounds. Seventeen year old Bradley Smith arrives in Mugello full of confidence after his second place in the 125 cc race at Le Mans. It was an important result for the Polaris World Aprilia rider after he’d crashed out in Portugal and China. With four races in the next five weeks he must keep up with those podium finishes to improve on his eighth place in the Championship.

Dutch TT - Honda Men Hit Form as Season Reaches Halfway
30 June 2007
After such a spirited performance in last weekend's British Grand Prix, both Repsol Honda riders are ready to make sure they build on the speed shown at Donington Park and the pair approach Assen buoyed by those recent rides. Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) finished eighth and Nicky Hayden (Repsol Honda RC212V) crashed, pitted and rejoined for a finish at Donington. Dani led in the wet conditions before his tyre choice proved incorrect and Nicky was fighting at the front before he fell. Strange as it may sound, it was an encouraging weekend because these riders were getting back to their best after a difficult start to the season.

8th and 12th For Honda
05 July 2006
Runaway series leader Alvaro Bautista (Aprilia) won the 125cc race from Mika Kallio (KTM) who snatched second from Mattia Pasini (Aprilia) at the final turn on the last lap. Bautista has now registered four wins so far this season and looks in unmatchable form at this stage of the season. Kallio led into turn one followed by Pasini and Bautista, but it only took three laps for the Spanish series leader to establish himself at the front with a series of fastest laps – and from then on the race was his barring any mishaps – and he made no mistakes.

8th For Elit Honda's Thomas Luthi
26 June 2006
Mika Kallio (KTM) prevailed in a hard-fought 125cc race from Sergio Gadea in second and series points leader Alvaro Bautista (both Aprilia) in third. This is Kallio’s second win of the season so far. Reigning World Champion Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R) finished eighth after crashing heavily in the morning warm-up. The 22-lap race was the first to get underway on the new Assen track and it was Kallio from pole who lead the pack into the new turn one and beyond. Mike di Meglio (FFM Honda RS125R) was among the front-runners in the early stages until the Frenchman faded from the halfway point.

Steady 6th And 8th For Honda
19 June 2006
Local man Alvaro Bautista won a typically fraught 125cc race from his Aprilia team-mates Hector Faubel and Sergio Gadea, making it an all-Spanish podium. The fourth member of the team, Italian Mattia Pasini was fourth. Bautista started from pole, but was headed into turn one on the opening lap by Pablo Nieto (Aprilia). Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R), who started from 10th on the grid, had hoisted himself to second by lap two and the Swiss World Champion looked as if he had the speed to stick with the leader.

Two of Honda’s main hopes in this class were riding injured at this race: Gabor Talmacsi (Humangest Honda RS125R) injured a shoulder while engaged in on-bike promotional work, while Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R) broke a collarbone testing last weekend and rode with the bone plated. They finished eighth and ninth.

Bad Day For Honda
10 April 2006
Alvaro Bautista (Aprilia) won the 125cc race by 6.7 seconds from Mika Kallio (KTM) who just managed to overhaul third-placed Sergio Gadea (Aprilia) as the pair broached the finish line.
