Londonbikers.com and Motoprofessional.com continue to show their ongoing cultivation of grass roots racing in the form of support for the oldest motorcycle club in the world. South Eastern-based Bemsee ("BMCRC") celebrate their 100th year in 2009 and to match that, they have secured a sponsorship package for their club worth over £100k!! The Club has worked to introduce or improve sponsorship packages for as many of the 2009 Classes as possible. In the tough economic climate, all sponsors that are prepared to help in anyway are of great value to the Club, the sport and in particular, the riders. Any support we can generate is directed straight to our riders, it never goes to the Club’s bottom line. We are hugely grateful to all the sponsors who have declared their intentions at this stage for the 2009 BMCRC Centenary Season…

Michelin - A Fond Farewell
27 October 2008
The spirit of competition has always been at the heart of Michelin. Racing has been a part of the company history and the company has been a part of racing history. MotoGP now becomes a one-make tyre championship. Michelin is leaving MotoGP because there is no longer competition in the area of tyres. After 36 years of MotoGP Wor ld Championship racing, Michelin would like to thank all the teams and pilots who put their trust in the Group during this period. Prior to the last MotoGP event in Valencia this coming weekend, 42 pilots won at least one race riding on Michelin tires, giving the brand 360 victories in Premier Class racing.

Michelin's Finger's Up to MotoGP Single Tyre Rule
04 October 2008
Michelin has decided not to submit a bid to the governing body of the MotoGP World Championship. At the same time, Michelin regrets not being able to contribute to the organizers’ important discussions to improve rider safety and reduce costs. The spirit of competition has always been central to Michelin. Motor sports at the highest level are useful because competition among several tire manufacturers is a valuable stimulus for developing increasingly high-performance tires that will one day equip customer vehicles. Tires play a key role in a vehicle’s performance and can make a considerable difference. This competition among manufacturers helps to make racing exciting.

Michelin Ready for the ‘Indy’ Challenge
05 September 2008
Michelin’s MotoGP crew travels to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway aiming to follow up its strong showing at the recent San Marino Grand Prix with another good result. At Misano three Michelin men finished in the top six, Jorge Lorenzo (Fiat Yamaha Team YZR-M1-Michelin) taking a brilliant second place. Indy will be a new challenge for the Michelin’s MotoGP riders. Testing restrictions forbid full-time MotoGP riders from taking part in such pre-event tests, so Michelin was represented by its test riders Erwan Nigon (Honda RC212V-Michelin) and William Costes (Yamaha YZR-M1-Michelin).
