Neil Hodgson will challenge for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli next year and among his rivals will be Tommy Hill who has signed to ride for the Worx Crescent Suzuki team. Riding for the Motorpoint Yamaha team, Hodgson is bidding to regain the domestic title that he won in a dramatic final round back in the 2000 season, a success that prompted his move into the World series, winning that title three years later.

Easton and Hill Ensure Winning End of Year for Hydrex Honda

Stuart Easton and Tommy Hill ensured Hydrex Honda’s 2009 British Superbike season ended on a high note at the weekend when the duo recorded a win and four podiums at Oulton Park. The second ‘triple header’ meeting of the year saw Easton take his first ever pole position and he carried this form over in to the races taking his, and the teams, second win, also claiming yet another second place.

Suzuki GB and the Crescent British Superbike Team have today confirmed an agreement that will see Yukio Kagayama rejoin the team to race the 2010 British Superbike Championship and current Worx Suzuki rider Sylvain Guintoli move to the Alstare Suzuki World Superbike team.

Guintoli Takes Top-5 Places at Oulton Park

Sylvain Guintoli rode to two fighting-fifth placed finishes today at the final round of the British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Added to his fifth from yesterday, the Worx Crescent Suzuki rider amassed enough points from the weekend to lift himself from 11th to eighth in the final BSB Championship standings and recovered much of his former speed and was able to battle with the front runners.

The Rob Mac Racing team had plenty of midnight oil to burn following the spectacular crash from Graeme Gowland. Graeme lost control of his Yamaha at one of the fastest sections of the Oulton Park circuit, the bike careered over the barrier flipping wildly and eventually ending up submerged in the lake!

Stuart Easton snatched last lap victory in a four way thriller in the opening race of the final round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli at Oulton Park. It triggered a double celebration for the Flying Scot who earlier in the day had headed off the challenge of the newly crowned champion Leon Camier in the duel for pole start, and then in a hard-fought race, the Hydrex Honda again enjoyed the better of his Airwaves Yamaha rival.

Airwaves Yamaha completed a perfect weekend at Silverstone today. Leon Camier won a dramatic Race One ahead of his teammate James Ellison, to secure the coveted British Superbike crown. The positions then reversed as James Ellison scored a sensational victory in Race Two.
