Hayden and Honda to Say Farewell

Nicky Hayden will ride his final race for the Repsol Honda Team at Valencia, Spain, on October 26. The American star and Honda have enjoyed a decade of racing action together, climbing motorcycling’s highest peak when they conquered the MotoGP World Championship in 2006.

Repsol Honda & Michelin Together Again For 2008

The Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) is very pleased to announce today that the Repsol Honda Team will continue its highly successful partnership with Michelin for the 2008 MotoGP season. Michelin and Honda have collaborated in the top class of motorcycle racing since 1982, during which time they have won 14 riders world championships and recorded 193 race wins.

Dani Pedrosa Re-Signs With HRC

Dani Pedrosa has today renewed his contract with HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) and signed to ride in the factory Repsol Honda MotoGP squad for 2008 and 2009. The two-year deal continues the 21-year-old Spaniard’s long and highly successful association with Honda which has spanned his entire motorcycle racing career. Pedrosa is already a three-time World Champion with Honda, having won the 125cc title in 2003 and the 250cc title in 2004 and 2005. Last year Pedrosa had a brilliant debut season in MotoGP, scoring two race wins (GP of China, British GP), eight podium finishes, setting four pole positions and taking the coveted Rookie of the Year title. In 2007 he has won the German GP to date.

Honda's Quarter Century Of Engineering Excellence

Racing has always been at the heart of Honda, indeed racing is Honda’s very DNA. From the very beginning company founder Soichiro Honda insisted that his engineers prove the company’s engineering capabilities and accelerate development by testing their creations in the white heat of competition. It has always been thus, from Honda’s very first Model A to the current RC212V MotoGP weapon. As current HRC president Masumi Hamane says: “A racing motorcycle is a rolling laboratory that provides us with live information and the racetrack is the stage where our dreams come true.”
