Ratteray-Cairoli Wrestle Set for Toda’s Portuguese GP

It was a great opening day in Agueda, the host of the third Grand Prix of 2008 which welcomed the Motocross collective with very hot weather conditions. Sebastien Pourcel clocked a stunning pole position in the MX1 class, collecting his second consecutive Lovemytime Pole Position Award after his first pole of 2008 in Spain last weekend. Tyla Rattray is also on a season high, winning his third consecutive qualifying heat and bringing home the Lovemytime Qualifying Award together with his closest rival in the Championship, Antonio Cairoli, who won the qualifying moto one to get his first win of 2008.

Billy MacKenzie's CAS Honda MX1 grand prix debut saw the Scotsman - who will celebrate his 24th birthday tomorrow - just miss out on a podium position as he finished in fourth place overall at the opening race of the MX1 season after two grueling 35 minute plus two lap motos at the Valkenswaard circuit situated 10 kilometers from the Dutch city of Eindhoven.

Ken De Dycker Takes Moto Win & Fourth Overall For CAS Honda

A windy and cold Northern Irish Grand Prix was the dominion of Kevin Strijbos as Sebastien Pourcel and David Philippaerts also filled the podium respectively at the 13th round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship. The new purpose-built Moneyglass Demesne circuit had a tough baptism as rain, wind and cold battered the venue 40km from Belfast. CAS Honda's Ken De Dycker was fourth overall after winning the first moto.

A busy finale to the 2007 FIM Motocross World Championship began under grey clouds, low temperatures and rainfall at the Loket circuit as Kevin Strijbos clinched the Grand Prix of Czech Republic; the eleventh round of fifteen in the series and first of five events in six weeks. Julien Bill took the Martin Honda CRF450F to a career-best fifth position overall. The MX1 podium was headed by Belgian Strijbos for the second time this season as the 21 year old notched his first ever double moto success with two wins in damp conditions. The rostrum was completed by Sebastien Pourcel in second place and David Philippaerts in third spot.

De Dycker Sixth For CAS Honda In Bulgarian Heat

Josh Coppins has won a steaming Motocross Grand Prix of Bulgaria at Sevlievo for the eighth round in the 2007 MX1 World Championship. Antonio Cairoli took the MX2 class honors for the seventh time this season in front of a 26,000 crowd. Honda's highest placed man on the day was Ken de Dycker with sixth position while Martin Honda's Pascal Leuret just missed the MX2 podium.

Brown Takes First CAS Honda Podium Of The Season

The sixth round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix of Japan at the Sugo circuit, May 27 saw Billy Mackenzie take the GP win but CAS Honda's Mike Brown clinched victory in the second moto and scored the first podium result of the season for the CRF450R with runner-up position overall. The veteran celebrated his first moto victory since Red Bud 2005 (AMA Nationals) and his first in the World Championship since 2000 and the German Grand Prix at Gaildorf. In front of 24,000 spectators at the rough, hard and technical course close to Sendai city Brown, on his maiden visit to Sugo, placed fifth in the first moto behind a runaway Mackenzie while Jonathan Barragan was second, Josh Coppins third and David Philippaerts fourth. Mackenzie was leading the second race ahead of Brown but an untimely crash let the American, who again started so well in both sprints, through to own the chequered flag.

Honda's De Dycker Ends 2006 Championship With Fourth Position

CAS Honda rider Josh Coppins finished fifth at a sunny Ernee circuit and the Grand Prix of France for the last round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship but his team-mate Ken de Dycker secured fourth position overall in the final points table. The Ernee track was soft and heavily rutted after heavy rainfall two days before the Grand Prix. Saturday's practice and qualification timetable was shortened in an effort to preserve the course sprawled over one side of a valley setting with the fans crowded on the opposing bank for wide 100% views of the layout. The mud was drier and as a consequence rougher on Sunday as brighter weather conditions finally arrived.

De Dycker Takes Top Five For Honda In Difficult Italian Grand Prix

CAS Honda rider Ken De Dycker raced to fifth position in the Italian Grand Prix despite a second moto crash at a dry and sunny Montevarchi circuit. Martin Honda rider Javier Garcia Vico obtained sixth overall which constituted his highest GP finish in more than two years.

Japanese Podium For De Dycker At World Motocross Championship Round 05

A hot Grand Prix of Japan saw CAS Honda rider Ken de Dycker claim his debut MX1 podium with third place in front of 17, 400 fans at the Sugo circuit. The fifth round of the World Championship was won by a dominant Stefan Everts who retains a 100% record in the class but Honda were able to toast their first silverware of the season.

De Dycker Solid Again For Fourth Overall In Germany

Under blue skies and warm sunshine CAS Honda's Ken De Dycker scored 4th position at the Karcher Grand Prix of Germany at the fourth round of the FIM 2006 Motocross World Championships. The Belgian has accumulated 6th, 5th and two 4th positions in the first four stops of the Grand Prix campaign and overcame his dislike of the fast and rough Talkessel circuit as well as a pair of poor starts in the two races to run again with the protagonists.

Round 03 Portugal - Honda's De Dycker Continues Improvement With 4th In Portuguese Heat

The Grand Prix of Portugal at the Agueda circuit, over 100km south of the city of Porto, was won by Stefan Everts in sunny conditions and in front of 15,500 fans. CAS Honda rider Ken De Dycker was able to post results of third and fifth in the two motos for an overall placing of 4th in the third round of fifteen in the 2006 FIM MX1 World Championship.
