Savadori Confirms Himself the Leader of the Italian Championship

The second round of the 2008 Road Racing Italian Championship was held in Monza on Sunday May 4th. Lorenzo Savadori, with the Aprilia of the Team RCGM, conquered a second position that allows him to remain at the head of the championship with an advantage of 9 points on the second classified. After a good start, Lorenzo immediately went on the front and at that time he began a fight with other three riders that only ended under the chequered flag. Continuous changes of position offered a great show on the very fast track of Monza, with a great Savadori that managed to pass the finish line in the first position in 9 of the 11 laps.

Pole Position, Win & Fastest Lap For Savadori At Mugello

On Sunday 20th April, the first round of the 2008 Road Racing Italian Championship was held on the famous track of Mugello. Young racing sensation Lorenzo Savadori made a perfect qualifying, race and lap record with his Aprilia and demonstrated he was definitely the man to be the man to beat. In 2007, he already obtained the pole position (the youngest rider to ever conquer the pole position at Mugello during an Italian Championship race) but he crashed during the race. This year he had his revenge and showed everybody to be perfect, from the first practice until the end of the race, obtaining the pole position, the victory and even making the fastest lap during the race.

Savadori Start's The Engine For 1st Italian Championship Race

On Sunday 20th April, the opening race of the 125GP Road Racing Italian Championship will be held on the historical track of Mugello. Lorenzo Savadori, a young talented rider from Cesena, Italy, is already author of great important races, will surely be one of the protagonists of the new season. Last year he only participated in a few races of the 125GP Road Racing Italian Championship as he was part of the Red Bull Rookies Cup, that brought him on the main European tracks and where he obtained a final second place thanks to a couple of victories, and a second position he obtained right here at Mugello. In 2007 he took part in four of the six Italian Championship races, making his debut in the opening race and immediately conquering a historical pole position, setting an important new record on the Mugello track.

First Race For Lorenzo Savadori at Catalunya

Later today, Lorenzo Savadori will make the first race of the 2008 season at Catalunya. The young rider from Cesena, Italy, with an Aprilia 125GP of the RCGM Team, will participate in the first round of the Road Racing Mediterranean Championship in Spain, a race to be considered as a training for him where will be present lots of the riders that will race in the famous Road racing Spanish Championship this year.

Lorenzo Savadori Takes First Win

Italian Lorenzo Savadori, riding number 32, will only celebrate his 14th birthday on April 4 but that did not stop him taking victory in the first ever Red Bull Rookies Cup at Jerez Spain. Lorenzo streaked home on the Jerez circuit in the inaugural Rookies Cup race on Sunday ahead of Luis Jamie Salom of Spain and Johann Zarco of France in the 15 lap race in what was a huge experience for the budding young riders.
