Searle Wins but Rattray Still Holds Red Plate
12 August 2008
Tommy Searle got the edge on Red Bull KTM teammate Tyla Rattray in race two on the twisty Loket track on Sunday to come away with the overall Czech Republic GP victory. Searle has now inched closer to championship leader Tyla as the fight between the teammates for the MX2 title goes right down to the wire. With Anthony Boissiere of the KTM-supported team HDI of France in third place on the podium, it was an excellent result for the Austrian manufacturer.

Hard Races for Teka Suzuki at Loket
12 August 2008
It was a tough day at the races for Teka Suzuki WMX1's Steve Ramon and Ken de Dycker who battled hard to place fifth and sixth overall at the Grand Prix of Czech Republic - the 12th round of the 15-round MX1 Motocross World Championship - in front of over 28,000 race fans. The fast and hardpack nature of the Loket circuit always makes overtaking difficult and both Ramon and De Dycker made things extra hard on themselves by not getting the best of starts in either motos.

Misfortune strikes Coppins at Loket
01 August 2007
24,000 spectators witnessed Yamaha Motocross Team's Josh Coppins experience the ill-fortune that motocross racing can occasionally serve at the eleventh round of fifteen in the FIM MX1 World Championship; the Grand Prix of Czech Republic held at a chilly and showery Loket circuit. The 30 year old New Zealander failed to pick up points in either race after suffering with unpredictable brake trouble. He finished twenty-second in the first moto after a stone jammed the rear brake pedal and locked the back end solid, causing the Kiwi - who was running in third place at the time - to stop and lose almost a lap. In the second outing a similar strike of bad luck caused Josh to loose brake pressure because of a leaking rear brake hose that was a result of a small collision with another competitor. With no rear braking power he crashed at the bottom of the steep downhill. He was forced to retired with a painful shoulder.

Team Suzuki - Double Victory For Strijbos
30 July 2007
A wet and cold Grand Prix of Czech Republic watched by 24,000 spectators at the Loket circuit represented a fantastic 11th round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship for Team Suzuki as Kevin Strijbos claimed his first double set of moto wins for the third overall victory of his career and the second this season. As well as being the third GP triumph for the RM-Z450 it was his second success at Loket where he celebrated debut spoils in 2005. With the double non-score by Josh Coppins, Steve Ramon - who was sixth overall - narrowed the gap in the championship from 107 to 77 points.

Strijbos 3rd on Czech Gate
30 July 2007
Team Suzuki's Kevin Strijbos set the third fastest time under grey clouds and occasional showers at the Loket circuit for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic and the 11th round of 15 in the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship. With team-mate Steve Ramon seventh after the 30-minute Timed Practice the two RM-Z450s both now have decent positions in the start gate for both of Sunday's 35 minute and 2 lap motos. The start-straight at Loket is particularly long, reducing the significance of the pole position and first pick of slots on the line.

FIM Motocross World Championship Round 11 – Loket 29-30 July
31 July 2006
Two dominant moto wins sealed an eleventh MX1 victory of the year for Stefan Everts, who with four rounds still to run is on the verge of an 10th world title. The works Yamaha rider adopted the Pirelli Scorpion Mx model as an important component towards his success. The same tyres also played a leading role thanks to the efforts of Joshua Coppins, Kevin Strijbos and Steve Ramon who were 2nd, 4th and 5th in the premier category. The Grand Prix of Czech Republic was a strong one for the Scorpion Mx with David Philippaerts confirming overall spoils with 2nd and 3rd positions to earn the top step of the podium, while Chicco Chiodi took a decent first moto result of 4th with the same rubber as the factory KTM representative and winner.
