Nebel Just Misses A Magny-Cours Point

Stefan Nebel (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) battled to be fit to race at Magny-Cours, after a massive crash in the previous round on spilled oil, and then battled to score the last point on offer. A battered and bruised Nebel made a strong push for a points scoring finish, but ended his day 16th, after qualifying 21st. he experienced issues with his gearing that had not raised their heads until raceday.

Nebel Crashes During A Dramatic WSS Race

Stefan Nebel (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) found the Vallelunga track a tough one to deal with on his first visit to the new SBK venue, and he proved unlucky in the race, finding an oil spill on track the hard way. Having qualified 24th, Nebel was busy working his way forward when he suddenly fell at one of the fastest sections on the circuit, and although he did not suffer an fractures, he was comprehensively beaten by his fast fall in fifth gear on the approach to the Curva Cimini.

Nebel In The Points For Lightspeed Kawasaki

Stefan Nebel (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) scored a point in his first ever WSS race for the team at his home circuit of Eurospeedway Lausitz. After starting from 26th place on the grid, after second qualifying was disrupted by rain, he overcame a less than perfect start and soon made up ground on his opponents. Even when his rear tyre started to slide, he was able to continue at a high pace to the end of the 23 laps.

Giugliano Misses The Points After Hard Weekend

After qualifying on the eighth row of the grid at Brno Davide Giugliano (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) expected to struggle hard to get into the points, and his 20th placing on raceday confirmed his pre-race expectations. In the race itself his lack of a good set-up on his machine and a sliding rear made things difficult from the outset, but he improved 10 places on his qualifying place of 30th on the grid.

Giugliano And Lightspeed Ready For Brno Challenge

Lightspeed Kawasaki’s 2007 signing Davide Giugliano (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) will use his recent Vallelunga testing experiences as a springboard for the run-in to the last five races of the year, the first of which takes place at Brno this coming weekend. Giugliano, still only 17 years-old, will be looking to get back to the form which saw him a top six finisher at Donington Park in round three, but his first priority is simply to finish in the points at Brno, to kickstart his overall championship campaign once more.

Giugliano Makes Progress In Vallelunga

Davide Giugliano (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) did not get the chance to set the kind of lap time he expected to leave his home circuit with, but after two days of testing he made improvements to the set-up of his new-for-2007 machine. The Roman rider, still only 17 years old, was limited in his choice of rubber at the beginning of the test and this contributed to the issues he found with overall machine set-up.

Davide Giugliano, the Italian Lightspeed Kawasaki rider won for the second time this season with his Ninja ZX-6R the European Supersport 600 race. At his home track, Imola, the talented Italian rider won the 9-lap race with just 2 seconds before the Belgian Champion Simeon.
