De Reuver Back On The Pace At Home GP In Lierop
04 September 2007
Yamaha Motocross Team were able to celebrate a decent consolation at the end of a difficult season when Marc de Reuver finished the fifteenth and final round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship with second position in the sand of Lierop at his home Grand Prix of the Netherlands. The 24 year old has struggled with injury and poor luck during his first campaign in MX1 but he used local advantage and his excellent capabilities through the rough and tiring sand to finish third and first in two entertaining and action-packed motos. The highlight was certainly the second sprint in which he fought race-long with Kevin Strijbos and Steve Ramon and eventually passed overall victor Strijbos on the last lap to the delight of the 36,000 gathered crowd.

Livia, Christophe & Sébastien In Final Top Four Rankings
04 September 2007
The world championship ended this weekend in the deep sand of Lierop, where Livia Lancelot collected the best overall result of the season for Team GPKR with a second place in the Women’s World Cup. With Livia second, the absent Christophe third in the MX2 class and Sébastien fourth in the MX1 Championship, the team collected strong results from its second year of activity. Home of Grand Prix racing for several years Lierop is one of the toughest tracks of the series and was more demanding than ever as the riders had already raced five GPs in the last six weeks. For the ladies, who made their first outing on a sandy track, it was even worse but their races were finally as exciting as the MX1 and MX2 heats.

Mackenzie Rounds Off Season With Fifth At Lierop
04 September 2007
Kawasaki Racing Team finished an emotional and turbulent 2007 FIM MX1 World Championship year with Billy Mackenzie taking fifth position and Tanel Leok twelfth on the sandy terrain at Lierop for the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, the fifteenth and final round of the series. The team’s home event was a grey one with cloud cover and occasional light showers dampening the 36,000 attendance. The action through the MX1 motos was gripping however; especially with a close finale in the second outing between eventual overall winner Kevin Strijbos and Marc de Reuver. The soft and shifting sand at the venue close to the city of Eindhoven and less than 50km from the German border was a hard physical test for the riders as well as being a demanding technical surface.
