Dani Fit & Ready To Give It Everything At Home
27 March 2008
After a forceful ride in Qatar earlier this month Spanish star Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) is set to make the first of three races in Spain his signal that he is more than ready for the challenge of the 2008 World Championship. But the way the World Championship is shaping up so far, he won’t be the only frontline Spanish rider to be gunning for the big prize on Sunday. Dani will relish the rivalry with Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) this weekend. And now he is nearing full fitness again, after injuring his throttle hand in a crash while testing in Malaysia, he is itching for action. Pedrosa won here on a 250cc machine here in 2005 and he has also finished on the podium here for the last three years. His team-mate Nicky Hayden (Repsol Honda RC212V) also scored a podium finish here in 2006 and the Repsol duo are sure to put up a determined display here for one of Honda’s long-term sponsors.

De Puniet Battles To Second Row
09 March 2008
The curtain-raising hour of final qualifying here under the floodlights at Losail proved that the established order of rank, at least this far, has changed. Newcomer to the class Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) grabbed pole at his first premier class Grand Prix. British star James Toseland, who held onto pole for much of the hour-long session, lines up second on the grid and Colin Edwards (both Yamaha) completes the front row. This stint was a struggle for the leading Honda men – but they did not buckle under early season pressure from the opposition.

29 February 2008
The 2008 MotoGP riders and team managers attended a spectacular inauguration ceremony last night as the Losail circuit, venue for Qatar Grand Prix, became the first fully floodlit MotoGP circuit when the race organization switched on the awe inspiring lighting system. De Puniet Sets Fourth Fastest Time On Last Day
19 February 2008
On arrival at the Jerez circuit for the final day of the three-day MotoGP test at the 4.423 km track this morning the riders were greeted by cool overcast conditions following a rain shower but the temperature slowly increased to reach an ambient 19 degrees with the track top at 16. Despite a strong prevailing wind the change in warmer weather allowed the teams and riders to make up much of the time lost to rain and a cold track on the opening two days.

18 February 2008
LCR Honda factory rider Randy de Puniet finished eigth in today’s IRTA ‘Official’ pre-season MotoGP test shoot out at the 4.423 km Jerez circuit, Spain. The LCR Honda team did not find the ever changing track conditions a challenge. The team started the wet session with the wet weather base set up they had established at the Phillip Island test and it worked perfectly at Jerez. Together with team rider Randy De Puniet they quickly found the tyresto match the softer set up and were quickly up to pace. Towards the end of the session De Puniet felt the wets go off and knew that he could go faster and opted to try a slick rear tyre but it did not work out in the rapidly decreasing track temperatures.

De Puniet Happy With Test So Far
01 February 2008
LCR Honda rider Randy De Puniet was very happy with the RCV in wet weather testing his first time on the Honda in the wet and the Ohlins suspension finding good rear end grip from all areas of the tyre. On the dry track surface De Puniet struggled for grip mid corner and on the exit while running with the same dry machine set up he used at the end of a dry day one. The team has several basic set up options to try on the final day of the test tomorrow and is confident they can help Frenchman De Puniet improve both his feeling with the RCV and his lap times.

Slow Day For LCR Honda's De Puniet
31 January 2008
Frenchman Randy de Puniet had a slow day by his own rapid standards. The LCR Honda rider experienced some front-end slides in high-speed corners and decided discretion was the best part of valour. His team technicians concentrated on suspension settings in combination with a range of Michelin tyres, allowing de Puniet to gain sufficient confidence in the front end to complete the day with a string of fast, consistent times.

Dutch TT - Honda Men Hit Form as Season Reaches Halfway
30 June 2007
After such a spirited performance in last weekend's British Grand Prix, both Repsol Honda riders are ready to make sure they build on the speed shown at Donington Park and the pair approach Assen buoyed by those recent rides. Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) finished eighth and Nicky Hayden (Repsol Honda RC212V) crashed, pitted and rejoined for a finish at Donington. Dani led in the wet conditions before his tyre choice proved incorrect and Nicky was fighting at the front before he fell. Strange as it may sound, it was an encouraging weekend because these riders were getting back to their best after a difficult start to the season.

Gritty Hayden Grinds Out Sixth Successive Podium
10 April 2006
Nicky Hayden (Repsol Honda RC211V) came a narrow second to Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) in a tense MotoGP race here in windy Qatar. Loris Capirossi (Ducati) was third. This is Hayden’s sixth consecutive rostrum finish as he bids for his first win of the 2006 season. With a 33km/h wind, erratic in direction, blowing throughout the day, turns two and nine seemed to be the worst affected. There was also a 44 degree track temperature to contend with, although the elevated ambient temperature that is so often a debilitating factor here was ‘only’ 25-degrees now that this is an April race instead of an October fixture.
