Team Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley took a small two-point step toward the lead of the 2007 Australian Motocross Championship in round six at Toowoomba Queensland at the weekend. RM-Z450-mounted Hurley closed down the points gap when series leader Daniel Reardon suffered poor results and is now well positioned for the title fight across the remaining four rounds. However he also had a difficult weekend by his high standards and finished fifth overall to shave two points off Reardon's series advantage.
Team Shift Motul Suzuki has announced young up-and-coming star Lawson Bopping will replace injured rider, Luke Burkhart for round six of the Australian Motocross Championship at Toowoomba in Queensland this weekend. The dynamic 17-year-old is set to pilot the RM-Z250 in the Pro Lites class while Burkhart recovers from recent thumb surgery that will see him sidelined for the remainder of the series.
