Kallio and Simon battle it out for third in Australian GP - Red Bull KTM 250 star Mika Kallio and Spanish Repsol KTM rider Julian Simon fought a hard battle for the third podium place in Sunday's 250 cc Australian GP with Kallio snatching the glory in the final seconds. Rabat fastest 125cc KTM in Phillip Island - Spain's Esteve Rabat was KTM's best rider in the 125 cc category conquering seventh place in a tough battle of a tight pack of riders, which included his Repsol KTM team-mate Marc Marquez who crossed in eighth position.

Julian Simon Celebrates 4th and Season's Best in Japan 250 GP

Repsol KTM 250 rider Julian Simon battled his way to fourth place in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix on the Motegi circuit and celebrated his best result so far aboard his KTM FRR 250. But while Simon enjoyed an almost flawless and trouble-free weekend, Red Bull KTM riders Hiroshi Aoyama and Mika Kallio had their hopes of a podium double dashed on the circuit where both of them have won in the past. Both ran into unexpected problems during the race.

Rabat, Marquez & Nieto All Score Points at Sachsenring

Three KTM riders performed well to finish in the championship points in the 125 ccm class on the Sachsenring on Sunday in the Grand Prix of Germany. Esteve Rabat of the Repsol KTM 125 team finished in ninth place while Spanish GP rookie Marc Marquez made a great charge from the back of the field and stormed from place 19 to place 10. Onde 2000 KTM rider Pablo Nieto also secured one point for his fifteenth place finish. Red Bull KTM rider Randy Krummenacher was unlucky and had to retire due to technical problems. ISPA KTM Aran rider Tomoyoshi Koyama crashed during a battle with Marquez.

Kallio Rescues Fourth Place in German GP

Red Bull KTM 250 star Mika Kallio fought against wet conditions in the German Grand Prix to finish in fourth place while Julian Simon of the Repsol KTM 250 team put in his best race result since joining the KTM line-up on the grid. Kallio, the 25-year-old Finn held onto second place for 12 laps but was forced to let some of the opposition overtake when heavy rain started to fall. Instead he adjusted his calculating style of riding to suit the prevailing difficult conditions and still achieved the best possible result. Kallio, who had held the lead in the world championship standings, is now in second place, eleven points behind Sunday's winner Marco Simoncelli.

Max Nagl Unlucky at Home MX1 GP

Red Bull KTM rider Max Nagl got off to a great start in the MX1 GP of Germany in Teutschenthal on Sunday but technical difficulties denied him the chance of a probable podium. The German factory rider took a confident holeshot in the first moto and was having no problems sticking with the front riders when technical difficulties foiled his chances of raking in points.

Tyla Rattray the Red Bull KTM Hero of MX2

Red Bull KTM's South African rider Tyla Rattray came, saw and conquered the rough track at Teutschenthal, Germany on Sunday with a 2-1 result for overall victory. Rattray's second race left no-one in doubt that he is hot property and determined to go to his home GP in South Africa as the holder of the red number placte as the championship leader. Rattray came in second in the first race behind title holder and arch rival Antonio Carioli but was supreme in the second, amassing a lead of some 30 seconds in the closing stages, enough to coast home and enjoy the adoration of the crowd on the way back to the chequered flag.

Raffaele de Rosa Seventh in Assen GP125

KTM's riders in the 125 cc category launched the weekend's GP racing at Assen, Netherlands confidently in qualifying ahead of Saturday's race at the Dutch circuit. Raffaele de Rosa (Onde 2000 KTM) clocked seventh fastest, Randy Krummenacher (Red Bull KTM) in eleventh and Esteve Rabat (Repsol KTM) in fifteenth place, positions that remained unchanged on the second day of practice due to adverse weather conditions. Rabat's 15-year-old team-mate Marc Marquez, who had made history one week ago as the youngest Spanish rider ever on a Grand Prix podium, was one of the very few riders in this class to improve on his previous best time in final practice, and now holds eighteenth place on the grid.

Wet Weather Turns 125cc GP in France into a Two Episode Affair

Riders in the 125 cc French Grand Prix on Sunday had their race scrapped in the final stages when rain started to fall and stewards brought out the red flags. The French Grand Prix for the small bikes was then re-run as a five-lap dash and Red Bull KTM rider Randy Krummenacher was able to make the best of the tricky, damp conditions to score his first top ten finish of the year. The Swiss teenager, who had finished back in twentieth in the first part of the race, the results of which were negated, made a crucial last-minute tyre change on the starting grid. This turned out to be just the right decision and the Swiss rider, now fully recovered fro his recent spleen operation hunted down a large number of his opponents.

Kallio Plays Safe & Scores Points on Damp Le Mans Circuit

Red Bull KTM 250 star Mika Kallio decided to play it safe in damp and difficult conditions at the French 250 cc Grand Prix on Sunday to finish fifth and consolidate his leading position in the championship standings. On a day where fickle weather conditions prevailed at the famous French racing circuit, Kallio started with cut slicks and battled his way through the second group of riders when the track started to dry out. He even looked set for his fifth podium finish of the year when he swept past his opponents Mattia Pasini and Yuki Takahashi with four laps to go.

David Casteu First Winner of the Central Europe Rally

A ‘moment supreme'! It was a memorable day for David Casteu at the shores of Lake Balaton. All he had to do in the last stage was to keep an eye on his main (and only) rival Francisco Lopez to make sure victory was his. And that's just what he did. It's David's first win in rally-raid, who's in his fourth season riding for KTM. He was drenched with champagne thanks to Alain Duclos and Francisco Lopez, when he came off the podium.

Difficult Day For KTM 125cc Riders In Japan

While their 250cc Red Bull KTM team-mates celebrated a victory on the Motegi Racing Circuit, KTM's three-rider line-up in the 125 cc class experienced a difficult day and left the Japanese Grand Prix disappointed. Tomoyoshi Koyama, who had been very fast in training and had wanted to do well on his home circuit, experienced tyre grip problems and was only able to finish 14th. Conditions were made more difficult because of changing weather conditions, leaving the track wet at some stages and drying out in other.

Koyama Puts Red Bull KTM On The 125cc Podium In San Marino

Tomoyoshi Koyama applied his never-give-up energy and passion to the 125cc race at the San Marino Grand Prix and his determination and skill put the Red Bull KTM team on the podium in third place. The diminutive Japanese rider picked up 16 championship points for his effort and is now lying third in the season's standings.

Podium Second For Philippaerts In MX1 In Belgium

KTM Red Bull Racing Team's David Philippaerts made it a double podium for the KTM factory riders this weekend at Nemur, Belgium, when he amassed enough points for second overall on Sunday in the two MX1 races. But while Philippaerts and team boss Stefan Everts were pleased with the podium, both admitted it was disappointing to miss absolute victory by a single point. Earlier in the day, the team's MX2 rider, Tommy Searle was also second in his GP, but also missed the top of the podium by just two points.

Surgery Ends Rattray's Bid For MX2 Season Podium

KTM Red Bull Racing Team's Tyla Rattray, the tough and talented South African rider who is currently third on the MX2 World Championship standings has been denied a shot at a season's podium because he has to undergo reconstructive knee surgery. The popular Tyla twisted and injured his right knee at Loket last weekend while competing in the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic. Subsequent medical tests revealed a stretched Anterior Cruciate ligament, damaged lateral ligaments and some minor meniscus problems. The 21-year old South African rider learnt of the need to undergo surgery on Thursday after doctors had made further assessment of the damage.
