Hodgson Bids to Regain Title a Decade on While Hill Signs for Suzuki

Neil Hodgson will challenge for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli next year and among his rivals will be Tommy Hill who has signed to ride for the Worx Crescent Suzuki team. Riding for the Motorpoint Yamaha team, Hodgson is bidding to regain the domestic title that he won in a dramatic final round back in the 2000 season, a success that prompted his move into the World series, winning that title three years later.

Cummins Maintains Top Eight Finishing Run at Brands

Conor Cummins maintained his strong run of top eight finishes for Team Blackhorse Yamaha in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000cc Championship when he took eighth place at Brands Hatch on Sunday. Competing in round 8 of the series, the Manxman was in the top ten throughout the weekend and he was rewarded with 8 more Championship points to maintain his ninth place overall in the title table.

Tunstall Takes Triple Podium

Hardinge Doodson Motorsport racer Tom Tunstall had a weekend to remember taking three podium finishes as the British Superbike Championship made history holding three races over a weekend for the first time. The legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit staged the eighth round of this year’s British Superbike Championship and for the first time in the championships illustrious history three races were scheduled for the Superbike class.

Strong Weekend at Brands for Hydrex Honda

Hydrex Honda enjoyed a strong weekend at Brands Hatch with some fine results in the first ever ‘triple-header’ British Superbike Championship meeting. Stuart Easton led the way with a brace of thirds whilst Karl Harris fought illness to score some valuable points and ensure the team left the Kent venue with third and fourth positions in the Championship table.

Tough Weekend for Centurion Racing at Brands

It was a tough weekend for the Centurion Honda team at round eight of the Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch. Dan Cooper sadly crashed out of fifth place on lap 14 at Druids, his first DNF of the season, which has dropped him to fifth in the Championship standing. Centurion's new signing BJ Toal gained a fantastic 14th, making up 11 places from his qualifying position of 25th.

Treble Top For Camier

Leon Camier today broke the record for the most number of wins in a British Superbike season, completing the first ever ‘triple' race win at Brands Hatch. Victory number 14 for Leon also enters the record book as Team Manager Colin Wright's 100th British Superbike win. Leon now sits 113.5 points ahead of his teammate James Ellison in the Championship, who finished 5th and 3rd.

Top Five for Hill at Brands Hatch

Tommy Hill had to apply a careful mix of consistency and aggression to bring home a fifth place finish in the first BSB race of the weekend at Brands Hatch today. Racing on the GP circuit, in what is the eighth round of the British Superbike Championship, that fifth place followed on from another fighting fifth for the Worx Crescent Suzuki rider in the Roll for Pole qualifier earlier in the day.
