Pauli Pekkanen Races for KTM in FIM Superstock 1000 World Cup

The KTM Maehr Superstock Team, this year contesting their first season onboard KTM's recently released 1190 RC8, is being reinforced as of the next race in Brno, Czech Republic with a second rider, Finnish racer Pauli Pekkanen. Pekkanen joins Rene Maehr as the second rider in what is the company's first season in Superstock, one in which KTM and the team is dedicated to gaining experience with the bike and in a whole new category of motor sports activity. Sending the RC8 straight on to the racing circuits is yet another extension of KTM‘s Ready to Race philosophy for the manufacturer that is one of the world leaders in the production of sports motorcycles.

Tim Farr Second in Erzberg Iron Road Prologue

KTM's American factory rider and 13-times ATV Pro Champion caused a sensation at the Erzberg Rodeo when he placed second riding the company's sports ATV, launched in 2007 in the USA and in 2008 in Europe.
It was at least 60 places better than ATVs had ever achieved on the Iron Mountain in former editions of the Erzberg Rodeo. It was the American professional racer's first appearance at the Erzberg Rodeo, an event he said he had been following with interest for several years. "I really wanted to come here to compete and it's quite a surprise for me that I was up with the front runners. I definitely want to come back to Erzberg again," Farr said at the post race press conference.

World Champion Salminen Wins Final Season's E1 Race

Juha Salminen, 2007 world champion in the Enduro E1 class on Sunday proved that the top podium spot was his natural habitat when he took the final race of the season in a style that has won him admiration and the season's title. The KTM factory rider added yet another title to the ever expanding cache of world championships won by KTM when he put in a superb final day at the French Enduro Grand Prix. It was Salminen's seventh career title and elevates him into the record books as the most successful Enduro rider in the sport.

Salminen Fit And Ready To Race In Last Enduro World Championship Races

KTM Enduro Factory Team member Juha Salminen is reported fit and ready to race in the final round of the E1 competition in France, where the results of Saturday's and Sunday's races will decide who takes all three world championship titles. The Finn had won all 12 E1 races on the world championship program up to and including Canada, but he took a tumble riding in the UK five weeks ago and broke his collarbone. Not wanting to take any unnecessary risks, Salminen who still had a comfortable lead in the standings, decided to sit out the two races in Slovakia in favour of promoting the healing process. Now on Saturday and Sunday he will be back chasing as many of the 50 available points as he can and will be completely focussed on securing the title.

Salminen Misses E1 In Slovakia

The penultimate round of the E1 Enduro World Championship was missing the dominant rider of the season, the KTM Enduro Factory Team's Juha Salminen. The absence of the injured Finn may have allowed someone else a place on to top podium but he still leads the points. Salminen has won every race this season up to this weekend's event in the Slovakian ski resort of Krompachy but he broke a collarbone competing in a race in Britain three weeks ago and decided to sit out this weekend to give his injury another two weeks to heal. He returns to the circuit for the last event in France, which will hopefully also wrap up the title in his favour.

Juha Salminen Opens Account For Canadian Double

Juha Salminen from the KTM Enduro Factory Team on Saturday opened his account for a double victory in the E1 class in Canada's Parry Sound with another stunning victory on Day 1 of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Finnish rider has topped the podium in every race so far this season and is now set to snatch the double in the second race on Sunday to clean sweep the four races held in North America as part of the World Championships.

Salminen Storms Ahead in E1 Success in USA

Juha Salminen continued his unabated run of success in the E1 class of the Enduro World Championship on Saturday on Day One of the competition in Hancock, New York State, USA. The KTM Enduro Factory Team rider has totally dominated the season in this class of Enduro competition. He clinched his ninth victory from nine races to maintain his perfect scorecard in the championship standings coming home 4.14 seconds ahead of Simone Albergoni. Salminen now has a 63 championship point lead on Albergoni going into day two on Sunday.

KTM Enduro Factory Team Fit For North America

KTM Enduro factory riders head west to the USA & Canada for rounds 5 and 6 of the Enduro World Championship fit and in true KTM "Ready to Race" style to test themselves against a landscape that should especially suit the team's Finnish contingent. Accustomed to riding in green forested areas of their homeland, Juha Salminen (E1), Samuli Aro (E2) and Marko Tarkkala (E3) will all be planning to put in top results in the four separate races that make up the North American contingent of the 2007 World Championship.

Salminen Retains His Perfect Score Card In Italy

Eight rounds into the 16-round Enduro 1 world championship John Salminen of the KTM Factory Team has a perfect score card – 200 points from eight consecutive victories. It doesn't get any better than that. The Finnish supremo's two clear victories this weekend in the GP Leovince of Italy give him a stranglehold on the championship standings as he continues to underline his total dominance in the E1 class. Half way through the season its difficult to imagine that another rider can close the gap on the outstanding Finnish rider who returned this season from the USA to compete again in the world championship circuit.

KTM Enduro Factory Team Pumped With Confidence For Italy

The KTM Enduro Factory Team goes to the Grand Prix Leovince of Italy pumped with confidence and hoping for podiums in all three classes. According to team boss Fabio Farioli, the KTM riders are entitled to both. "We have excellent riders and they can do the job," Farioli said before leaving for Borno in Italy's Lombardy. "This is like a home race for us." The team, although made up of riders from Finland, Spain, Italy and France, has its headquarters in Italy and enjoys competing before the enthusiastic Italian fans. Since the last round in Portugal the KTM riders, according to Farioli have been "training, training, training" – all in their various home countries.

KTM's Salminen All Powerful In Portuguese Enduro

Juha Salminen continued his unabated charge towards the E1 World Championship title winning Sunday’s race at the Portuguese Grand Prix to continue his unblemished record for the season so far. The Finn, who returned from competition in the GNCC Series in the USA to rejoin the Grand Prix circuit started the season with a flurry in Östersund, Sweden in March and with Sunday’s victory in M. Canavezes in Northern Portugal has now won all six races so far held. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Salminen And Belometti Make It 1-2 For KTM In Spain

Juha Salminen on Saturday signaled his intention to dominate the E1 Class of the World Enduro Championship with a top top podium place on the first day of the Spanish Grand Prix. The Finn was joined on the podium by KTM Enduro Factory Team team-mate Alessandro Belometti of Italy for a perfect start in the E1 class at Puerto Lumbreras in the south east corner of Spain.

Round One Sweden - KTM - Day 2

KTM factory rider Juha Salminen of Sweden concluded a perfect weekend on Sunday with a victory in the E1 class in Ostersund, Sweden, his second top podium place in two days of competition for the launch of the world championship season. Salminen is rejoining the world championship competition after competing in the USA and his weekend double leaves none of his opponents in doubt about his intentions to go for the E1 title in 2007. He had not raced on snow for six or seven years, he said and admitted he was glad to be back in the world championship action competition and that it had been a fun weekend on his KTM 250 EXC-F machine.
