Brett McCormick scored his first career professional race win while teammate Jordan Szoke locked up his third consecutive Parts Canada Superbike Championship in the final round of the season at Shannonville Motorsport Park on Sunday. Riding his Canadian Kawasaki Motors Kawasaki ZX-10R, Szoke scored a sixth place finish in the 20-lap race, presented by Buell American Motorcycles, on Shannonville’s 2.45km (1.53-mile) ‘Pro Track.’ He ended the season with 317 points to the 277 of Clint McBain, who finished fourth on Sunday.
Acceleration Racing's Clint McBain scored a convincing victory on his Alberta Cycle, Suzuki Dealer Group-sponsored GSX-R1000 at round two of the Parts Canada Superbike Championships at Race City Speedway in Calgary, Alberta. After missing the first round due to a shoulder injury, McBain was on a mission to get back into championship contention at the Calgary round. When he set an all-out new lap record in qualifying on Friday at 1:15:751 there was no questioning his readiness for the race and in the final, he took his GSX-R1000 across the line with a 9:259 second margin of victory ahead of current champion, Jordan Szoke.
