Yuki is a tough individual and he will be ready to race tomorrow, despite having some pain in his lower right leg. The Japanese rider is still highly motivated for tomorrow’s race and knows that he has good consistency for the race, which should still see him battling with the top riders in the class.

Excellent Performance From Dovizioso Despite Crash
13 April 2008
The Grand Prix of Portugal ended today for Andrea Dovizioso in a crash, which was poor reward for the effort and skill he displayed during the first half of the race. Dovi started well from seventh on the grid to battle through his fellow competitors to join the lead group of four riders, which soon pulled away from the chasing pack. Andrea and his Honda RC212V were not dropped by the Yamahas of Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi or the Honda of Dani Pedrosa, showing that Andrea was able to maintain an excellent rhythm, even if the track was not in the best condition thanks to the overnight rain and the spots of rain which arrived during the race.

Fighting Race For Yuki Takahashi
13 April 2008
After a battling 26-laps at the 250cc Portuguese Grand Prix, Yuki Takahashi finished the race in sixth position. Starting from fifth position on the grid, Yuki was baulked for the early laps as he got caught up with some slower riders. Eventually the Japanese rider caught up with the leading group and slotted into third place, but Yuki was soon caught and passed by KTM’s Mika Kallio leaving the JiR Team Scot rider to battle with Mattia Pasini and Hiroshi Aoyama. With ten laps to go Yuki began to push hard once more, but was caught by Thomas Luthi. By now Yuki’s front tyre was giving him less grip so his Honda was unable to hold onto the podium place and he finished the race in sixth place. The result gives Yuki fourth in the championship still near the championship leader Kallio.

An ‘Attacking’ Race For Andrea Dovizioso
29 March 2008
Today’s qualifying session for the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez didn’t fully show the potential of Andrea Dovizioso today. With race tyres he was able to record one of the best laps of the day and this makes the whole team think positively for the race tomorrow, which for Andrea will be a race of maximum attack! Although Dovi will be not in a good position on the starting grid, his character for the race will be aggressive as he tries to make places up on the leaders in the early laps. Thanks to his set-up in race-trim, the whole JiR Team Scot squad are still confident for tomorrow’s race.

Dovizioso Finishes An exciting 4th In First 2008 Race!
10 March 2008
Andrea Dovizioso attacked the Losail circuit tonight and took fourth place in an amazing race, in which he was always attacking. The 21-year-old Italian started in 9th position on the third row but always wanted to get to the front of the fight. Andrea battled hard in the final part of the race and eventually took fourth place following a very hard ride in the Losail darkness. After the previous sessions of the preceding days which didn’t show our rider’s value; the team found a technical configuration for the race which gave the JiR Team Scot rider a fast lap just 0.37 sec from the best at the circuit recorded in 2007. Tonight at Losail was a fantastic race for ‘The Silver Arrow’ now we look forward to Jerez.

Dovizioso Starts On 3rd Row In Ninth Position
09 March 2008
Tonight’s very important qualifying session for the first MotoGP race of the season produced a lot of expectation and also came with some big surprises. Andrea Dovizioso, heading towards his first start in the MotoGP championship, gains a third row position for tomorrow’s race. Obviously JiR Team Scot wanted more than that with their previous testing form around the Losail circuit, but the atmosphere in the garage is serene ahead of tomorrow’s 22-lap race because their pace in race trim is very consistent and at a high level. In any case the third row looks is very special as the three riders on it have 11 world titles between them!

03 March 2008
The second day has begun for the JiR Team Scot squad as they research tyre solutions and suspension settings ahead of the first round of the 250cc GP championship here in a week’s time. Today Yuki didn’t want to push too hard, as he wanted to work with both Dunlop and Showa technicians to improve the setting and ‘feel’ of the Honda RS250RW. At the end of the day the result is that JiR Team Scot are very satisfied with the result and tomorrow they hope to verify their whole technical package during the final day’s testing.
