USA Dominate 61st Motocross Of Nations

Kawasaki enjoyed a successful afternoon at the biggest and most prestigious Motocross event of the year as Ryan Villopoto and Tim Ferry guided their KX250F and KX450Fs to help Team USA celebrate their eighteenth capture of the Chamberlain trophy in the 61st edition of the international Nations competition. Team GPKR’s Sebastien Pourcel was part of the French trio that gained second place. From the nine riders on the final podium, one third steered KX motorcycle technology.

AMA Announces 2007 Motocross of Nations - Monster AMA Team USA

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced the members of AMA Team USA. The team will compete at the 2007 Motocross of Nations (MXoN) scheduled for Sept. 22- 23, at Budds Creek Motocross Raceway in Maryland. The riders selected to represent the United States are James Stewart (MX1), Ryan Villopoto (MX2), and Ricky Carmichael (MX3). The team was announced yesterday, along with Monster Energy being named the team sponsor during ceremonies at the 2007 AMA Air Nautiques Amateur Motocross National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Presented by FMF Comes to Unadilla

The first half of the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF comes to a close with round six of the series at Unadilla Valley Sports Center on July 14-15 in New Berlin, New York. The Monster Energy Nice N Easy Pro National Presented by Renegade Haulers will see James Stewart trying to overcome the spate of bad luck he’s suffered at Unadilla over the last couple of seasons. In 2005 Stewart had a collision with Ricky Carmichael as the two battled for the lead. Last year Stewart suffered a high-speed crash during morning practice and missed the race altogether. This year Stewart is the pre-race favorite to win his first national of the season aboard his Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Ricky Carmichael had a lot of pressure coming into the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF. In spite of his astounding career accomplishments RC risked finishing out his career with a whimper. Instead he is continuing his assault on the record books and going out with the loudest bang possible. Showing the dedication and pride he’s had throughout his career, Carmichael has completely dominated the season so far, winning all four events leading up to the Monster Energy Kawasaki Red Bud National Motocross presented by Concept Haulers on June 30-July 1 in Buchanan, Mich.

A Big Showdown In Store At Las Vegas AMA SX Finale

The season finale of the 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas this Saturday, May 5, will feature one race of celebration and another a highly anticipated showdown. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s James Stewart clinched the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series title last weekend in Seattle and will attempt to go for his 13th win of the season. His Las Vegas race will be a coronation run for Stewart, who has dominated the season with 12 wins in the 15 rounds leading up to Saturday’s finale. Stewart’s 2007 season joins Jeremy McGrath’s 1996 and Ricky Carmichael’s 2001 season as one of the best performances in the history of the series.

James Stewart Is 07 Supercross Champion

James Stewart won his 12th Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series race of the season riding a Monster Energy Kawasaki Saturday night, April 28, at Qwest Field in Seattle. The victory gave Stewart his first AMA Supercross Series Championship. He captured the No. 1 plate with a round still remaining in Las Vegas, this coming Saturday. Stewart only needed to finish ninth or better in Seattle to wrap up the title.
