Kagayama in BSB, Guintoli in WSB for 2010

Suzuki GB and the Crescent British Superbike Team have today confirmed an agreement that will see Yukio Kagayama rejoin the team to race the 2010 British Superbike Championship and current Worx Suzuki rider Sylvain Guintoli move to the Alstare Suzuki World Superbike team.

Guintoli Takes Top-5 Places at Oulton Park

Sylvain Guintoli rode to two fighting-fifth placed finishes today at the final round of the British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Added to his fifth from yesterday, the Worx Crescent Suzuki rider amassed enough points from the weekend to lift himself from 11th to eighth in the final BSB Championship standings and recovered much of his former speed and was able to battle with the front runners.

Guintoli and Team Manager Jack Valentine took a detour from their respective journeys north to this weekend's Croft British Superbike race to rendezvous at Suzuki GB's Managing Director Yasuharu Osawa at the company's Milton Keynes Headquarters.

Tommy Hill had to apply a careful mix of consistency and aggression to bring home a fifth place finish in the first BSB race of the weekend at Brands Hatch today. Racing on the GP circuit, in what is the eighth round of the British Superbike Championship, that fifth place followed on from another fighting fifth for the Worx Crescent Suzuki rider in the Roll for Pole qualifier earlier in the day.
