The weather forecast called for rain, and rain came. Meanwhile, MDK KTM Factory rider Nick Wey lined up for Supercross Heat #2. Wey had a 10th placed start off the gate and managed to move quickly into a qualifying position. He rode consistent and smooth and stayed in a qualifying position throughout the heat moving his KTM on to the roster for the main event.

Tedesco 6th At Steel City

Team Makita Suzuki Racing's Ivan Tedesco carded one of his best finishes of the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship season on Sunday afternoon by picking up sixth-place overall at Pennsylvania's Steel City Raceway. Tedesco rode his Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 to sixth place in the first 30-minute moto and to fifth place in the second moto. Makita Suzuki team mate Ricky Carmichael did not race at Steel City because he is running an abbreviated race schedule for 2007.

Carmichael Notches 150th Win

Ricky Carmichael ended his AMA Motocross Championship career by notching his 150th career victory at Sunday's ninth round at Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, Minnesota. Team mate Ivan Tedesco celebrated a top-five finish after coming in 11th in the first moto and just short of the podium in fourth position in the second moto.

Team Makita Suzuki Racing’s Ivan Tedesco picked up his first holeshot and his best Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross result of the season after finishing fourth at Saturday night’s San Diego AMA Supercross seventh round at Qualcomm Stadium. “This was definitely a break-through weekend for me,” said Tedesco after the race. “I was able to get some seat time on the Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 during the week and that really paid off. What I’m most excited about is that Chad Reed only beat me by about 10 seconds and I know I can improve on that.”

Tedesco Moves Up In Amp’d Mobile Series

Team Makita Suzuki Racing’s Ivan Tedesco brought home another top-10 finish in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tedesco’s performance moves him up to ninth place overall in the championship points standings as team mate Ricky Carmichael did not race due to his abbreviated schedule; the 2006 AMA Supercross and Motocross Champion will return to Supercross at the Atlanta round later this month.

RM-Z Suzukis On ‘Nations Podium

Tedesco defended his status as World Champion as part of Team USA while Ramon and Strijbos assisted Belgium to the position of runners-up.

Pro Racing Announces Ivan Tedesco To Join Team USA In England

The recent injury to AMA Team USA captain Ricky Carmichael and the uncertainty for him to be able to compete in next week's Motocross of Nations event at Matterly Basin, Winchester, England, has led the team to select an alternate for the squad, in case Carmichael can't ride. After careful consideration and logistical obstacles to consider, AMA Team USA has decided to send Makita Suzuki rider Ivan Tedesco, a member of last year's winning team, along as a possible substitute. The team's other two members, Team Kawasaki's James Stewart and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto are confirmed to participate.

Best SX Results At ST. Louis for Tedesco

Team Makita Suzuki’s Ivan Tedesco raced to his best 250 Supercross Main Event position at Saturday’s drama-packed St. Louis seventh round, as team mate Ricky Carmichael and arch rival James Stewart both crashed out. Tedesco led for half the 20-lap race at the Edward Jones Dome until former Champion Chad Reed forced through to take the race win and the series lead. But reigning World and AMA Supercross Champion Carmichael pulled out on the opening lap following a crash, then case-out on the whoops.
