Pramac D’Antin Team Test Positive In Brno

Today, almost all the MotoGP riders remained in Brno to test tires and new parts in order to continue improving the bikes for the next World Championship races, and also for the 2008 season. For the Pramac d’Antin Team it was a very positive day with both riders able to gather important data to use during the following Grand Prix races. Alex Barros was focused mainly on testing Bridgestone tires, searching for the right balance that would give him confidence and speed. Barros continued lowering his times throughout the day, and is ready for the next GP in Misano, Italy.

Alex Barros 9th In Brno

The 12th round of the MotoGP World Championship ended at the packed circuit of Brno circuit with Casey Stoner and his Ducati Desmosedici taking victory. The competitiveness of the red-blooded Borgo Panigale machines was confirmed once again with three Desmosedici GP7's finishing in the Top Ten. For the Pramac d’Antin Team, it wasn’t an easy race. Alex Barros, the Brazilian bomber, started from the fitfh row, and was forced to make a difficult comeback ride to finally achieve the ninth position, and with it, nine more important points for the Championship classification.

Barros Determined To Improve During The Race

Preparations for Sunday’s Czech Republic GP, the twelfth round of this season’s MotoGP championship, continued at the Brno circuit today, culminating in this afternoon’s qualifying session to determine the grid for tomorrow’s race. It will not be an easy race for the Pramac d’Antin team with both riders looking to make up positions after a difficult qualifying session. Brazilian Alex Barros, who will start from the fifth row, is determined to make a good start immediately to find competitive race pace. He will aim to recover positions in order to fight in the top eight.

Pramac D'Antin MotoGP Riders In Brno

The Pramac d’Antin team began its preparations for Sunday’s Czech Republic GP in Brno today as the MotoGP World Championship resumed action after the summer break. The team is defending its colours this weekend with lead rider Alex Barros and Spanish reserve rider Ivan Silva, who is replacing the injured Alex Hofmann. Today’s work was focussed on setting up the Ducati Desmosedici with the Bridgestone tyres around the technically demanding Brno track in advance of Sunday’s 22-lap race in which the Italo-Spanish team is determined to recover some points missed in the previous races.

Pramac D’Antin Resumes Action With Ivan Silva

After the traditional mid-summer break, the MotoGP circus is preparing to head to the Czech Republic for the next round of this season’s championship which will see riders battle it out at the Brno circuit. On the back of two unlucky appointments in Germany and the United States, the Pramac d’Antin team is determined to achieve better results at the forthcoming race, even though regular rider Alex Hofmann will be unable to take part due to injuries sustained in a free practice crash at Laguna Seca last month.

A Difficult Race In Czech Republic For The Team Pramac D’antin MotoGP

Today on the circuit of Brno, one of the longest track of the 2006 MotoGP World Championship’s calendar, took place the race of the MotoGP class, and the Spanish Ivan Silva ended it in 18th with the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.”. The rider from Barcelona, substituting for the third time the German Alex Hofmann, also managed to improve the best laptime he did on Saturday with the race tyres. Jose Luis Cardoso, not satisfied about the performance of the tyres, retired himself after six laps.

Today, on the circuit of Brno in Czech republic, there was the qualifying practice session of the MotoGP class. Both Spanish riders of the Team Pramac D’Antin MotoGP improved a lot their times of the Friday. Jose Luis Cardoso classified himself in 18th position while his Team Mate Ivan Silva, substituting alex hofmann for this race, will start from the 19th position on the grid. More details will be checked on the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.” during the warm-up, before the start of the race that will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

Pramac's Cardoso Works For The Race, Silva Learns The Track

Twelfth round of the season for the 2006 MotoGP World Championship on the Czech circuit of Brno. The Team PramacD’Antin MotoGP took part to the first sessions of free practice and already worked on the definition of the ideal set-up for the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.” to be used during the race. Jose Luis Cardoso, that likes the track very much, classified himself in 18th position, while Ivan Silva, substituting Alex Hofmann for the third time of the year, discovered this circuit for the first time and is now in 19th position. Tomorrow, the whole Team will go on working very hard. There will be another session of free practice tomorrow morning, before the single qualifying practice session at 2.00 a.m.

The MotoGP World Championship is coming back after 3 weeks of summer break. The 12th round will be this Sunday 20th August on the famous track of Brno, one of the most beautiful circuit of the calendar. The German Alex Hofmann, that will race on the official Ducati of the injured rider Sete Gibernau, will be replaced by the Spanish ivan silva, therefore at his third race in the MotoGP class ; while the Spanish Jose Luis Cardoso can’t wait to ride again on this track he likes a lot.

Pramac's Cardoso In The Points, Regrets For Silva

After some heavy rain in the morning, the sun came back shining on time for the races of the three categories, on the circuit of Donington Park, England. With his 15th position, Jose Luis Cardoso obtained one more point in the general classification. A satisfaction for the whole Team that really deserved it. Ivan Silva unfortunately couldn’t express himself adequately and had to retire himself five laps after the start. The young Spanish was suffering a lot because of the injury on his left ankle from the crash he made yesterday. A real pity after the great practice he had done during the last days.

A Quite Unlucky Day For Pramac's Jose Luis Cardoso And Ivan Silva

In England, the sun goes on shining on the Circuit of Donington Park. The Pramac D’Antin MotoGP Team riders, the Spanish Ivan Silva and Jose Luis Cardoso, qualified themselves respectively in 17th and 18th position. After having worked in a satisfying way on the race tyres, they couldn’t take advantage of the qualifying tyres because of the traffic on the track and some errors. After a crash in the way down of the spectacular English track, Ivan Silva sustained a pulled ligament of the left ankle that, luckily, will let him take part to the race tomorrow.

Un unexpected sun was shining in England today and the practice of the Team Pramac D’Antin MotoGP has been quite positive. The Team has been working for the race, with the aim of finding a good rhythm; the development of the tyres is going on and there are signs of improvements. Ivan Silva, at his second race in MotoGP and on a track he never saw before, classified himself in 18th position, preceding his compatriot Jose Luis Cardoso by a few hundredth. Tomorrow morning, there will be another session of free practice at 10a.m., English time, before the single session of qualifying practice at 2 p.m. The Team will go on working on the tyres and will concentrate itself on the definition of the setting of the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.”, with Dunlop tyres.

Determination And Combativity For Donington Park

Good debut for Ivan Silva at his first race in the MotoGP class, with the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.”. The rider from Figueras (Girona - Spain) finished in 16th position, preceding Jose Luis Cardoso, then forced to stop in the pits for a defective tyre. The promising rider Ivan Silva will go on his apprenticeship on the Ducati in the GP of England that will be next week on the circuit of Donington Park.

Good debut for Ivan Silva In Assen. The substitute of Alex Hofmann (that substitutes the injured rider Gibernau on the official Ducati) made his first kilometres on a motorcycle of the MotoGP class, the Ducati Desmosedici GP06 “Sat.” of the Team Pramac D’antin MotoGP. The rider from Figueras (Girona - Spain) obtained the 18th time, right behind his Team mate jose luis cardoso, that classified himself 17th. A cold day here in The Netherlands, with some intermittent rain that bothered the riders during the morning practice sessions. Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., there will be another session of free practice, before the single qualifying practice session reserved to the MotoGP class, at 2 p.m..

Pramac's Alex Hofmann Replaces The Injured Rider Sete Gibernau

For the eighth round of the 2006 MotoGP World Championship that in Assen, Holland, this weekend, Alex Hofmann, Pramac D’antin MotoGP rider, will replace SETE GIBERNAU on the Official Ducati. The Spanish rider injured himself during the frightening accident of last Sunday in Spain and his return will depend on how fast his recover will be. As a replacement for Alex Hofmann, there will be the Spanish Ivan Silva, already racing for the Team of Luis D’Antin in the Extreme category of the Spanish Championship, that also did a race of the 2006 World Championship in the Superstock 1000 class.
