The Year So Far For ISILON MSS Discovery Kawasaki

This is the first year for the ISILON MSS Discovery Kawasaki racing team on the BSB circuit, they are the UK's only officially supported team of Kawasaki Motors UK. Team owner Nick Morgan has a long involvement in racing, stretching back to 1982. Up until 1989 Nick raced himself and then did the Manx GP between 1991-1994 netting a couple of fourth places. For the last 10 years, MSS Discovery have been linked with Kawasaki. Legend Jack Valentine, was also brought in very recently for his great experience in racing and to manage the race team.

Interview With Charpentier WSS Champion

Sebastien Charpentier (Winston Ten Kate Honda) won both the Magny-Cours race and the 2006 World Supersport Championship after a stunningly dramatic afternoon of action in his home country of France. The 22-lap race was delayed because of the late finish to SBK Race One, and as Charpentier and Kenan Sofuoglu (Winston Ten Kate Honda) led the running order in the early laps, the championship leader, Kevin Curtain, fell on lap eight. Curtain needed to finish only eighth in the race to win the series, but Charpentier was now clear to win both race and title - and did so in some style, from second placed Sofuoglu and Broc Parkes, Curtain's team-mate. In taking his second title in as many years, Charpentier made history by becoming the first rider to score back-to-back WSS title wins.

Repsol Honda star Nicky Hayden will start his home race this weekend leading the world championship and full of confidence for Sunday’s Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix. The 24-year-old from Owensboro, Kentucky is enjoying a brilliant 2006 season and, after his debut MotoGP win at Laguna Seca last year, he will be determined to take his RC211V to a second victory of the season and stretch his 26-point lead in the riders’ standings. A fighting third place in last weekend’s German Grand Prix where he finished just 0.26s behind the winner sets up Hayden nicely for the challenge.

2006 marks Shinya Nakano's third season aboard the Ninja ZX-RR, and the 28-year-old Kawasaki rider has already impressed during pre-season testing. Consistently in the top three fastest riders during tests in Malaysia, Australia and Spain, Nakano heads for Jerez, and the first race of the season, determined to put Kawasaki back on the podium where they belong.
