Double Victory for Italian Cristian Beggi

Italy hosted the third FIM MX3 World Championship event this weekend. It was a sunny event, that brought the biggest success to the home rider Cristian Beggi from Honda Martin Racing Team. There were two exciting starts in MX3 World Championship race. In the first race Belgian Sven Breugelmans (KTM) took the lead. He started very fast and got quite a big advantage. But home rider Cristian Beggi (Honda) became more and more closer. Beggi started to make pressure on Breugelmans and finally he passed him. Breugelmans started to indulge and Beggi was englaring his advantage. We saw the first surprise this season. Czech rider Martin Michek finished third in the first race, with a very good riding. He was close to the Breugelmans all the time.

Big Numbers At The Dirt Bike Show

Over 21,000 people visited the 2007 Dirt Bike Show, 10% up on the previous year, and one of the best-attended in the history of the 4-day event. There was certainly plenty to see, with 17 bike and quad manufacturers, including Adly, AJP, Aprilia, Beta, BMW, Can-Am, CCM, Honda, Husaberg, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Sherco, Scorpa, Suzuki, TM and Yamaha.

Delepine In Awesome Shape For Italian Round

While the Husqvarna Enduro Ch Racing team was racing in Slovakia, the Husqvarna Supermotard CH Racing team was present in Jesolo for the 5th round of the Italian Championship. Factory rider Gerald Delepine showed up on the track in awesome shape and, as consequence, the rider got both races podium on Sunday without making any extra effort. Delepine is now leader of the S2 class provisional classification with 228 points at only one race to the end.

Guillaume - From US To Canada Straight To The Podium

CH Racing Husqvarna rider Seb Guillaume secured his second successive double Enduro 3 class podium result by placing as runner up and in third position at the GP of Canada, staged for the second year in Parry Sound north of Toronto. Enjoying the first day's competition E3 class Seb Guillaume continued to show that he is the only rider capable of pushing Spaniard Ivan Cervantes and Finn Marko Tarkkala in the WEC's largest capacity class.

Chareyre Brothers Conquest In Bulgaria

The terrible French brothers got complete control of the sixth Supermoto GP held in Pleven, Bulgaria, on their 2008 SMRs 450. In s1 class heat one, the two young riders from Husqvarna CH Racing team got immediately the leadership of the race leaving their rivals far away from them. In race 2, Adrein unfortunately fell immediately after the start and had to restart from the very last position.

BMW To Buy Husqvarna Motorcycles Brand

BMW Motorrad will acquire the renowned off-road motorcycle company Husqvarna Motorcycles. The President of MV Agusta Group, Claudio Castiglioni, and Dr. Herbert Diess, General Director of BMW Motorrad, signed the contract on 19th July 2007 in Varese (Italy). The contractual agreement will come into full effect upon final approval of the EU cartel authorities. Both parties agreed that the purchase price is to remain confidential.

Tough Week End For Husky Riders in Alcarras, Spain

The hot temperature of the Spanish week end caused many problems to the Husqvarna CH Racing Supermoto Team at the Alcarras GP. In S2 class, Gerald Delepine's bad start in race 1 penalized the rider right from the beginning. Gerald then immediately start his run towards the first positions, but he fell and then was forced to leave the race because of technical problems occurred to his SMR 660.

Supermoto World Championship: An Husky Business

A sunny Villars Sous Ecot, France, hosted the third round of Supermotard World Championship. The Husqvarna CH Racing team's riders arrived at the track with the goal of replicate the show made in Turin and get podium again. And so it was: In S1 class, Adrien Chareyre got the first place hands off, with Van Den Bosch stopping the race when his engine broke. Second heat was harder for the French brothers: Adrien fought for the whole race with Aprilia Belgian rider keeping his Husky SMR 450 right behind VDB. Even thought the rider gave his best, he finished the race on second position, but the two results conquered made him obtain the red plate as to confirm his leadership in the World Championship provisional classification. Adrien's younger brother Thomas got 3rd and 4th positions that bounced him to the second provisional pl ace behind the older brother. In the S2 class, fast and furious Gerald Delepine won easily the first heat leaving Aprilia's Iddon far behind. In race 2, Gerald made a bad start that made him loose some pisitions. As always, the Belgian rider didn't give up and started a breathtaking race passing his rivals on a track that doesn't give any passing chance. Gerald was fourth at the chequered flag, but the sum of the two races made him conquer the red plate and the leadership of the classification. Next Supermoto GP will be held in Alcarras, Spain, on June 24th.

Supermoto Turin GP - It's Husky Show

Last Saturday night the Supermoto GP arrived to Turin for a night of racing and show. Husqvarna riders were the main attraction of the event with their outstanding performances. In the S2 class, Gerald Delepine was feeling at ease in the rain on the wet and slippering dirt part of the track and won hands off the first heat. In race 2 Delepine started from 18th place due to a fall and immediately begun his "one man show" and recovered up to 4th place at 10 laps from the end.

CH Racing Husqvarna team rider Seb Guillaume claimed two well deserved podium finishes in the Enduro 3 class at the fourth round of the '07 World Enduro Championship, staged in Borno, Italy. season the GP of Italy proved to be a demanding event for all competitors. With both days starting off wet and finishing dry the rock littered enduro test and the slow and technically challenging extreme tests got harder as the event wore on. With few riders getting to the end of the fourth round of the WEC series without crashes on at least on of the events special tests a high number of riders failed to finish the event.

Double Podium Finish For Seb Guillaume At GP Of Portugal

CH Racing Husqvarna rider Seb Guillaume claimed his best results of the ’07 World Enduro Championship so far claiming two podium finishes in the Enduro 3 class at the GP of Portugal, staged in Marco de Canaveses. Competing aboard his WR290 Seb came extremely close to winning the opening day claiming an eventual second place to Spain’s Ivan Cervantes. On day two Seb again rode well finishing in third place. Also finishing on the podium for Husqvarna was E1 class rider Bartosz Oblucki. Despite a frustrating opening day where he placed sixth Bart’ then claimed a hard fought third place on day two. Although a good weekend for Seb and Bart’ the GP of Portugal wasn’t a good one for US racer Nate Kanney who crashed on day one injuring his knee, which forced him to miss the second day’s competition.

Good Start For The Husqarna Supermoto Team

The first round of the 2007 Supermoto World Championship held in Castelletto di Branduzzo last week end was quite successful for the Husqvarna CH Racing team. The victory was missing, but the team, riders and bikes got important results for the next championship’s rounds. Husqvarna got the second and third places in S1 class (450) thanks to a brilliant performance of the Chareyre Brothers, while Belgian rider Gerald Delepine was second in S2 class (600).

Husqvarna's Oblucki Gets Third In First WEC GP

CH Racing Husqvarna team rider Bartosz Oblucki claimed a well deserved third place podium finish on day one of the first round of the '07 World Enduro Championship aboard a pre-production version of Husqvarna's new 250cc four stroke enduro bike. In doing so the Pole proved the bike's reliability and competitiveness despite relatively little time spent testing and setting-up the all new machine prior to the race.

Husqvarna Signs Lance Smail For W.O.R.C.S.

Lance will be contesting the World Off Road Championship Series on his Husqvarna TC 450. Lance will also be trying his hand at Supermoto for the first time at select events with the GP Husqvarna Supermoto team.

Husqvarna's Troy Herfoss Wins In Noumea

Team Husqvarna Racing's Australian 2006 Supermoto Champion Troy Herfoss headed off to New Caledonia to contest the 3rd Supermoto of Noumea. The invitational ride to the French territory south west Pacific isle, was certainly a change of scenery but definitely not a change of pace as Herfoss outgunned his local opponents on the 51 second a lap picturesque city circuit on Sunday December 3, 2006. Hot sunny conditions greeted the riders for both days which included a practice on the Saturday as well Super Pole.

Good Results From The Young Husky Riders At International Six Days Enduro 06

Husqvarna's Bourgeois, Oldrati and Nambotin get first places in the International Six Days Enduro race. Last Saturday the ISDE, International Six Days Enduro held in Lake Taupo New Zealand, took got to its last race day. 53 private riders took part to the challenge on a Husqvarna motorcycles.

Delpeine Wins Supermoto International Race

The Belgian rider hits Milan and takes the podium. Gerald Delepine got the podium of the International Supermoto race organized inside the EICMA fair on Saturday November 18th. Delepine was the fastest at the very start and immediately took the lead of the race engaging an amazing battle with Max Manzo Gerald's teammate in 2007. Delepine gave no chance to Manzo and was first at the finish line.
