The Hairy Bikers Cookbook is Coming Soon
05 April 2006
Following on from this year’s popular Hairy Bikers BBC Two television series, the two big bearded bikers, Dave Myers and Simon King, are preparing to recreate their mixture of motorcycle tales and delicious delicacies from around the world with the launch of a new book, aptly named The Hairy Bikers Cookbook. The BBC television series was first broadcast in January, and enthusiasts regularly tuned in to see the lads ride bikes including BMW R1200 GS machines in a variety of destinations all over the world. Their love of food and travel soon became apparent as the pair rode in search of authentic culinary delights and diverse cultural experiences, including the world’s best barbeque (in Namibia) and the secret of the perfect stew (while touring Ireland).

The Hairy Bikers are coming
12 January 2006
A new BBC television series hits our screens next week featuring mouth-watering recipes from around the world, stunning locations and a pair of refreshingly unpretentious motorcycle-riding presenters known as the ‘Hairy Bikers’. Long time friends Simon King and Dave Myers aren’t the most obvious choice for television chefs. However the pair of northern bikers – who class themselves as “foodies” not cooks – are set to capture the imagination of food lovers everywhere with The Hairy Bikers Cookbook, which starts next Tuesday (January 17) on BBC2 at 8.30pm.
