Top Five for Ellison at Mallory
Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider James Ellison overcame a disappointing qualifying position to battle his way from row four of the grid to a fifth place finish in the opening race of the sixth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park today. After developing the brand new traction control system on his Honda CBR1000 Fireblade, Ellison resorted to his original machine prior to the first 30-lap race where steady progress through the field saw him catch up with the leading bunch but he couldn't quite close in and had to settle for fifth position at the flag.

TT Superstock Podium for Martin
03 June 2008
After the disappointment of retiring from Saturday's Superbike TT when well in command, Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider Guy Martin bounced back to claim a podium finish in this morning's four-lap Scottish Life Superstock TT. The 26 year old from Kirmington in Lincolnshire, running as number one on the road once again, started steadily as mist on the mountain and damp patches made the opening lap quite tricky and at the end of the 37.75 mile lap, Martin was placed in sixth place, just five seconds off the lead. As he got more acquainted with the production-specification 1000cc Honda Fireblade, Martin upped the pace and by half way round lap two, he was up to fourth place at Ramsey, less than twelve seconds off the lead as they headed for the pit stops.
