Burkhart Healing After Crash at X-Games 14

Mark Burkhart (Graves Motorsport Yamaha), 2008 Moto X World Champion, 2007 X-Games Supermoto Gold winner, and 2007 AMA Supermoto Champion is healing back at his home in Ohio after his series of unfortunate crashes at the X Games. He was checked out by doctors on Saturday night and was cleared with no major injuries. Burkhart crashed in practice and aggravated an old shoulder injury on Friday. Despite being sore he still set the fastest time in qualifying. In the main event Burkhart got caught up in a crash at the start and then had trouble getting his bike started. He put on a full charge once the bike started but that was ended when he crashed on the jump coming into the stadium.

Mark Burkhart to Race Springfield TT

Mark Burkhart (Graves Motorsport Yamaha), 2008 Moto X World Champion, 2007 X-Games Supermoto Gold winner, and 2007 AMA Supermoto Champion will be in Springfield Illinois this Memorial Day Weekend racing in the AMA GNC Singles Championship on a Memphis Shades Yamaha. The racing action starts at 7:30 PM on Saturday night May 24, 2008 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

Ben Bostrom Wins Again and Extends Supersport Lead

In sweltering hot conditions, Ben Bostrom used his Graves Motorsports YZF-R6 and superb physical conditioning to annihilate the competition at the fourth round of the 2008 AMA Supersport series in Sonoma, California on Sunday, May 18th. At his home track and with plenty of his old high-school buddies in attendance, Bostrom shattered the Supersport track record in qualifying, set fastest time in Sunday morning’s warm-up, and then managed the race with authority to take his third win of the year, extending his points lead in the process. After three straight podiums this year, teammate Josh Herrin wasn’t so fortunate this time, finishing sixth after running as high as third in the early going.
