Micron has revealed its stunning new GP Sport exhaust for Honda’s remarkable new 2008 CBR1000RR Fireblade, the bike that is being dubbed by most motorcycling publications as the bike of the year. The original bike’s catalytic converter has been replaced by Micron’s specially designed under-body silencer, designed on the company’s sophisticated computer-aided-design systems and Hydroformed to fit the Fireblade perfectly.
Suzuki’s new GSX-R600 and 750 K8 models are the latest supersports machines to receive the GP-Sport silencer from Micron. The Hydroformed product, developed on a sophisticated CAD system, is designed to match the unique lines and contours of each machine but, in the case of Suzuki’s new sportsters, the chassis dimensions are identical. Micron’s GP-Sport slips on to the exiting pipework of the two Suzukis and requires no further adjustments. The high-grade stainless body is fitted with Micron’s trademark carbon fibre endcap to ensure a good balance of weight, durability and style.
Micron has revealed new GP-Sport silencers for the B-King and has admitted that designing for Suzuki’s iconic street-fighter has been among the company’s most challenging assignments.
