Get set for the newest sensation in British dirt bike racing – the GBXC Championship. In 2008, this amazing four-round series brought the cross country phenomenon which has taken the United States by storm to British shores for the first time – and what an amazing success it proved!
The fourth and final round of the GBXC series ran over the weekend at Ashby de la Zouch and Paul Edmondson posted his name in lights as the first Pro winner at this new venue. The Relentless Suzuki Enduro rider, aboard his RM250 finished nearly a minute clear of his closest rival, despite taking an extra pit stop for fuel just before the final lap. With second placed rider Darryl Bolter breathing down his neck as he left the pit area, Edmondson charged to the line, putting in one of the fastest laps of the day and managing to pull nearly a minute gap in a single lap.
