Michael Laverty continued his impressive superbike form on the Relentless Suzuki GSX–R1000 at Brands Hatch earlier today, with a fourth placed finish in race two. In race one, after a superb start, Laverty forced his way through to third before unfortunately crashing out at Druids when hot on the heels of Tom Sykes in second place. Ian Lowry had a tough weekend but battled bravely in today’s supersport race with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately Lowry just lost out on a points scoring finish after being forced to start his race from pit lane, due to a front brake problem on the warm-up lap.

AIM Yamaha Bring Points in at Oulton
08 May 2008
Both AIM Yamaha riders, Steve Plater and Ian Hutchinson brought more points back to the team from Oulton Park on Monday, Plater scoring a 12th place in the second Superbike race and Hutchy a ninth on the Supersport event. A few niggling teething issues with the bike disrupted Plater’s free practice sessions but these appeared to be resolved in time for the 50- minute qualification period on Sunday. As the track began to dry Plater switched to a qualifying tyre but on the run to Druids the chain snapped and he had to jog back to the garage and jump on his spare bike.
