The centre of London roared to the sound of two and four-wheeled racing motorbikes and cars on Wednesday as Ducati Corse and Ferrari tied up with their fuels and lubricants supplier Shell for a spectacular street display in front of an estimated 20,000 crowd. The event, involving a series of demo runs up and down a closed road, was organized by Shell to promote the launch of Shell V-Power performance fuel in the UK. Shell V-Power has been developed using the knowledge gained from development and testing of tailored Shell V-Power used in the Ducati Desmosedici.
World Champion of MotoGP Valentino Rossi, put his embarrassing opening day Valencia completely behind him with a full on second day testing for Ferrari. During the course of the day out of the 15 drivers present, Rossi set the ninth best lap time! This is his first 'real' test on the track with other teams and drivers actually out at the same time as him. After other previous private test sessions held at Fiorano and Mugello, this test marks Rossi's fourth outing in a Ferrari Formula One car.
