8th For Elit Honda's Thomas Luthi
26 June 2006
Mika Kallio (KTM) prevailed in a hard-fought 125cc race from Sergio Gadea in second and series points leader Alvaro Bautista (both Aprilia) in third. This is Kallio’s second win of the season so far. Reigning World Champion Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R) finished eighth after crashing heavily in the morning warm-up. The 22-lap race was the first to get underway on the new Assen track and it was Kallio from pole who lead the pack into the new turn one and beyond. Mike di Meglio (FFM Honda RS125R) was among the front-runners in the early stages until the Frenchman faded from the halfway point.

Steady 6th And 8th For Honda
19 June 2006
Local man Alvaro Bautista won a typically fraught 125cc race from his Aprilia team-mates Hector Faubel and Sergio Gadea, making it an all-Spanish podium. The fourth member of the team, Italian Mattia Pasini was fourth. Bautista started from pole, but was headed into turn one on the opening lap by Pablo Nieto (Aprilia). Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R), who started from 10th on the grid, had hoisted himself to second by lap two and the Swiss World Champion looked as if he had the speed to stick with the leader.

Reigning 125cc World Champion Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R) won his first 125cc Grand Prix of the 2006 season with a somewhat fortunate victory over Aprilia rider Alvaro Bautista, who slowed with machine trouble on the last lap while leading. He eventually finished fourth behind Mika Kallio (KTM) second and Fabrizio Lai (Seedorf Racing Honda RS125R) third.

Mika Kallio (KTM) triumphed in a tight 125cc race winning by one tenth of a second from Mattia Pasini in second and Alvaro Bautista third (both Aprilia). This is Kallio’s first win of the 2006 season and it elevates the Finnish rider to second in the overall standings after four races.

Bad Day For Honda
10 April 2006
Alvaro Bautista (Aprilia) won the 125cc race by 6.7 seconds from Mika Kallio (KTM) who just managed to overhaul third-placed Sergio Gadea (Aprilia) as the pair broached the finish line. Bautista has now posted back-to-back wins in the first two races of the season. It was Gadea who made the early running in this 18-lap race until Bautista upped the pace by lap five, stealing the lead and then setting a fastest lap of 2m 8.591 seconds as he stretched away from the rest of the field.

28 March 2006
Spanish hope Alvaro Bautista (Aprilia) gave the crowd the result they wanted in the 125cc race with his maiden win at home. Lukas Pesek (Derbi) was second and Mattia Pasini (Aprilia) third. Reigning World Champion Thomas Luthi (Elit Grand Prix Honda RS125R) crashed out after 11 laps.
