Optimistic Comeback For Elias, Guintoli 13th
24 June 2008
Surely a proof of character for Toni Elias who, starting from the last position in the British Grand Prix, gritted his teeth giving all he had from the first to the last turn. At the end of the first lap the Spanish rider had already gained two positions on Hopkins and Toseland who unluckily slipped in the first turn. Constancy allowed the Alice Team rider to improve lap after lap registering his best lap time in the 21st lap when he was in twelfth position. In the last lap, after a battle which lasted seven laps, the Catalan rider made the last overtake which put him in eleventh position which means five world championship points.

Best Qualifying Session for Guintoli
21 June 2008
Cold and rainy day at Donington Park circuit, in England. The morning free practice has shown a great performance by Sylvain Guintoli who under the rain has always demonstrated great qualities. The afternoon session, that has determined the starting grid of the 22nd English Grand Prix hosted on this circuit, rain wasn’t so heavy making the track faster. The French rider has made it to improve his best lap times constantly finishing the session in twelfth position, his best qualifying session of the season. His teammate, Toni Elias, didn’t make it to find the right feeling to push at the maximum in this weather condition and will have to start in eighteenth position.

First Day of Work for Alice Team at Donington
21 June 2008
After a weekend of break, MotoGP is back in action for the eight round of the 2008 World Championship at Donington Park circuit, in England. Alice Team riders haven’t begun in the best way, even if after the two days of test completed last week in Barcelona, they have shown improvements. The Spanish rider, Toni Elias, has also been unlucky today: in the afternoon session he had to stop in the garage for some minutes due to some technical problems. Back on track in the last minutes of the second free practice, he made it to improve his best morning lap time by almost a second, concluding the day in fifteenth position. His teammate, Sylvain Guintoli, didn’t make it to take a big step forward in the second hour of work, concluding the day in eighteenth position.

Challenging Day for Alice Team at the Montmelo’
06 June 2008
First day of work with some complications in Barcelona for the Alice Team riders. Toni Elias has slipped in the third lap of the day. He slighted hit his right leg but the bike has suffered many damages. For this reason the Catalan rider has basically work today with only one bike at his disposal. The other Alice Team rider, Sylvain Guintoli, has worked a lot completing 43 laps in the two hours of work at his disposal today. The French rider has worked well improving his best lap time by almost a second in the afternoon session. The atmospheric condition seems to change in the last hours, in fact the chances of rain are increasing for Tomorrow and Sunday.

Sixth Row White & Red Start in The Alice GP of Italy
31 May 2008
Another day of hard work for the Alice Team riders on the Mugello circuit. In the first hour of work of the day, with almost perfect track conditions, Sylvain Guintoli seemed to have solved the problem encountered yesterday ending the session with the eighth best lap time. But in the afternoon, with the track completely dry, the French rider didn’t make it to go further than the seventeenth position also due to some technical problems. He will therefore start the race between his Team-mate Toni Elias, who is one position ahead of him, and the other Ducati rider, Marco Melandri, who complete the sixth row in eighteenth position. A pity for the Catalan rider who didn’t make it to use the last qualifying tyre in the last fast lap at his disposal due to the intense traffic found on the Tuscan circuit.

Elias Grazes The Top Ten
19 May 2008
During the firsts laps it seemed like a new race for Team Alice's Toni Elias who started from the fourteenth position on the grid and maintained the tenth position until the fifth lap. But, just a bit later, the Catalan rider didn’t manage to maintain his good rhythm and lost four positions. At mid race, just like in China two weeks ago, with less fuel and therefore with a lighter bike, he found a rhythm which allowed him to finish in eleventh position even if the rain slowed him down during the last part of the race. His teammate, Sylvain Guintoli, wanted to do well for his own supporters, but the Frenchman didn’t manage to find the right rhythm at the beginning of the race. He lost too much time from the group pace and consequently lost the possibility to fight for better positions.

Elias in Eighth at The Pramac GP of China
04 May 2008
The fourth 2008 MotoGP race started with uncertain track condition. The asphalt has completely dried out a few minutes before the start of the Pramac Grand Prix of China, where the Alice Team riders have respectively started from fifteenth and fourteenth position. Guintoli has done better than his team-mate at the beginning maintaining the thirteenth position until the eighteenth lap when he lost two position and concluded in fifteenth. The opposite has done Toni Elias, who in the sixth lap was in seventeenth position, but after a few laps the Spanish rider found the right rhythm which allowed him to come back and finish the race in eight position. A pity for the not so happy start, seen Toni has registered the fifth fastest lap in the race, not too far from the fastest. A sensible step forward for the Catalan rider who hopes to keep growing in two weeks time, on May 18th, when there will be the Alice Grand Prix of France.

Fifth & Sixth Row for the Team Alice Pair
03 May 2008
Alice Team rider, Toni Elias, didn’t make it to maintain the same position obtained in the first day of work in Shanghai, where he concluded in eleventh position, finishing today’s qualifying session in fifteenth position. The Spaniard was in eight position after half session, but couldn’t make it to use in the best way Bridgestone qualifying tyres. Sylvain Guintoli, seated in the other side of the Alice Team box, has improved his lap times registered during the firsts three free sessions, but it wasn’t enough to conquer a good position in the starting grid. Today’s temperatures were similar to the first day of work on the Shanghai circuit, with the asphalt temperature that reached 48 degrees. Weathermen are promising rain for tomorrow, with more than 80% of possibilities for a wet race.

Elias Grazes The Top Ten
02 May 2008
The improvements done in the last test at Estoril have helped the Alice Team in the first day of free practice in China, on the Shanghai circuit.
