Eurosport Extends British Superbike Championship Deal

Eurosport will broadcast the British Superbike Championship (BSB) for a further two seasons after renewing its exclusive live rights deal with MotorSport Vision this week. The digital sports channel had the exclusive live rights to the 12-round BSB championship in 2008 and used the series to develop British Eurosport 2 in the UK market. The new two-year deal will continue to give the exciting BSB series extensive TV airtime, with a 4-hour live show produced at each of the 12 rounds, featuring both BSB races, the British Supersport Championship and additional support races. Raceday highlights will also be shown in primetime and repeated throughout the week. On Thursday nights “British Superbikes Extra” features the British 125 GP, National Superstock and KTM RC8 Championships.

James Whitham - What a Good Do!

Assisted by experienced motorcycle photojournalist, Mac McDiarmid, Whitham tells his story frankly, candidly and with humour. His racing career lasted 18 years, during which time he secured four British titles and competed in World Superbike, World Supersport, Endurance and Grand Prix. A hard-charging racer and a colourful character off the bikes, Whitham was one of the most well liked riders of his generation among fans and fellow competitors.

MSV Confirms Extensive UK TV Coverage For Bennetts BSB

The Bennetts British Superbike Championship will enjoy an unprecedented amount of both live and delayed UK and, for the first time significant International television coverage from 2008 – its first season under the tenure of MotorSport Vision, who have secured new and extensive broadcast arrangements with Eurosport and Channel 4.

FIM CUP Superstock 1000 To Be Broadcast

As a competition, the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup is attracting growing attention from the media and from the sponsors. Now, at last, it looks as if television is finally about to bring these exciting race events the recognition they so thoroughly deserve. A number of channels have announced that they are going to dedicate a generous amount of broadcasting time to the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup championship. Last season the competition stood out for its well balanced teams and for the skill and determination of its young riders, many of whom ended up in the eye of the racing public and on the wish lists of teams from the more prestigious specialities.
